★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For the most part, I have no issues with this store. However, there's 2 things I'd like to point out. When I discovered the red velvet cake here, I came back 3 days(evenings) in a row to buy it. But it wasnt until ny 4th visit in the morning to grab a tea before going to work that the lady told me about the rewards card. Okay, I came in 3 days in a row and was served by the same barista and not told about the rewards I was missing out on. ?
Second thing yesterday I went in for a slice of the red velvet cake to go. I get home and this cake slice that is so stale, it was hard like a rock, I don't know why I was even served this piece of rock that should have never been in the store in the first place, nevermind been served to a paying customer! And at this point, what am I supposed to do? Go back on the bus to go complain about this in the store? It was so atrocious!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This location is getting worse each day. In the morning, particularly, the server is rude and lacks basics sanitary precautions. Most times, only one person is left to tend to customers, charging and preparing the beverages without help. Other times, the servers hide on the back, and you have to yell to call their attention. Last time this happened, I went right to Starbucks and intent to continue doing so.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The employees at this location and the other one down whyte (which I’ll review as well) go out of there way to provide great service and sample drinks even. I came here to buy latte syrup and the employees were so so kind and helpful!!! I have had such great experiences here, the only thing I would suggest is finding a more cafe themed playlist that isn’t so loud.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would not get excited about the oat milk at Second Cup. Ordered mobile pickup and waited for the my Oatmilk Iced Latte with an "extra shot of cream caramel". Came with maybe 2 ice cubes in it and the top half hot and the milk cold. Stirred it into a lukewarm mess. Not even sure it was espresso and not just coffee poured on top. For $6, very disappointing. Back to Starbucks across the street I guess...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'd give this a 3.5 if I could. I go here often because it's close to campus and I already have a Second Cup rewards card. I think the atmosphere is pretty good as far as Second Cup's go. Lots of seating, a few outlets, usually a mix of people conversing and studying, they play music but not too loud. My servers have always been pleasant and helpful, but some of them seem to just not be that familiar with their job, and some afternoons they only have one person working so it takes forever to get your drink. I find Second Cup's coffee itself alright, certainly a step above Timmie's. At least their flat whites aren't the exact same thing as their lattes. The sandwiches and the baked goods are pretty decent but sandwiches are expensive. On the other hand I'm pretty sure they leave the same cake in the display case for like a week, don't recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place to buy a cup and chill off. Popular place to sit and study. The space is cozy, clean and well maintained. The staff are super friendly. The wifi is fast and there are many plugs for charging.
The menu is good. I recommend the cold brews for summer. They cold add a few more couches.
