Kaffa holds a unique view of historic Garneau, the North Saskatchewan River Valley, and downtown. Here at Kaffa Roaster & Studio, we’ll be welcoming our City's musicians, artists, and artisans to our upstairs hideaway in the Heart-of-Garneau. Presently we are offering a selection of house-roasted coffee beverages & more. We are currently open every day 9-4 pm. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This review isn’t a reflection on their product or services as I never made it inside the building. Instead I wandered around in the rain looking for this place. There’s construction everywhere, which is not their fault at all obviously. I found the signage to be really poor as I couldn’t locate it and was trying to look on Google maps. I called but didn’t get an answer. I never did see a sign, but I think I found it - entrance in the back alley behind sugar bowl. There are several staircases to get up to what looks like a cool space.
Needless to say I couldn’t get up there with my stroller and gave up?
Edit: I eventually found this place another time but I had to ask inside a bakery. It’s actually a random door by the bike shop. A couple staircases and you’re in a cool and spacious spot with views. Definitely achieved an A+ atmosphere. Coffee has always been quite good. It would be nice if they actually had baking available at the counter. I had to go down and pick up a cinnamon bun from the Sugar Bowl. So minus a star for inconvenience of the baking and difficulty of finding the place. Otherwise I will continue to visit when I can. ☺️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location, great feel to the place, and makes great pourover coffee! A short conversation with the owner shows he really knows his coffee. As an additional plus, you can order food from Sugarbowl below and they'll bring it up for you! Hope it doesn't get too popular and busy but hope they get the recognition they deserve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite coffee shop in Edmonton. Great decor, and well trained and talented barista who's not afraid to help out with suggestions. The best cappuccino I've had in Edmonton as well. Do yourself a favor and order the sidecar which is not listed on their menu. You'll receive an espresso and Australian style cappuccino , allowing you to enjoy the taste of the beans themselves, but also paired with the milk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can't recommend this coffee shop enough! I haven't tasted a quality latte like the one I had today, in a very long time. The ambiance is gorgeous.... beautiful, relaxing, chill, kitschy. The staff is wonderful, pleasant and very knowledgeable. They even roast their own coffee right in the cafe! Love, love, love this place! I highly recommend a visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very cozy bright spacious rustic place on second floor of the building. The place Lotsa space for seating including comfy sofas and chairs. The selection of coffee is basic but artistic. The selection of food is limited but the cafe is linked to sugar bowl, a local favorite restaurant on the main floor of the same building.
The selection here at the cafe can be a simple delicate pour over or a nicely crafted latte. A very comfortable atmosphere to come sit and enjoy your coffee drink. Coffee roasting machine at the side of this cafe shows everything is done on site for the freshest taste. A must try for coffee enthusiastic. You won't regret it.
