I have been going to Trade Secrets in Barrhaven for eyebrow threading for years! The techs have been friendly and precise! I always get compliments on how my brows look. Recently I have started doing body waxing services and it has been great. Very professional and the results last well over 4 weeks. Making a permanent switch for my body waxing and threading services!

Six weeks after buying a product that I have purchased in the past, I decided to call the store to see if there was anything they could do for the something that completely dried out my hair and made me feel awful. I was feeling absolutely disgusting that my hair turned out the way it did and even though I did buy my product 6 weeks ago, the owner himself told me that they would make an exception and exchange my product if it was in good condition to re-sell. I took my product to the store where the manager carefully inspected it at the counter, looking at the bottle, opening it to see if it was still good, and smelling it. The bottle is in great shape, the stickers were all attached with no damage, the product itself was still good, and then she proceeded to tell me that because I didn't have the cap, they would not be taking it back. This was not something I was told either by the owner or the store manager over the phone before I went in. Knowing that this was something I have used for the last two years, I was shocked that may hair turned our dry, brittle, and damaged. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received as I took time out of mine and my husbands day to drive there just to be told that because I didn't have the cap I couldn't exchange it. I was more than happy to pay more for a product that would have better suited my hair and made me feel beautiful instead of gross and dirty. The best part, is that they didn't care to have my business because I had mentioned that I would no longer be shopping there, the manger's response, I understand. Understanding that businesses are losing money in this pandemic, something the owner kindly reminded me, I would think you would want to keep your clients happy and coming back. There was no indication that this particular business wants to or cares to keep their clients.

Went to this company a few days ago for the first time and I was very pleased with everything. The employers were very friendly and professional. My eyebrows were done properly. I really really loved them and I got compliments too.

I have never had a bad experience in the 3 years I have been going here to get my eyebrows done. Saturday I went and got my brows done as I do, and then I proceeded to ask the lady to perform a small patch test on me with wax as I have had allergic reactions in the past. SHE suggested doing the top of my hand so I said okay. She took the wax and placed it near the top of my hand, more where my hand and arm connect at the wrist and then spread the wax all on to the top of my arm. I immediately stopped her and questionned what she was doing, and she responded "I am doing a patch test" I told her that she was not, and she was now waxing my whole arm, which I had never asked for. Her response was: "I will do the rest of the arm for you for free" I immediately told her no. She also informed me that to her hand means arm, which is fine, but the service provider should be performing the service exactly how she has informed her client. I did not even ask for the top of my hand, she suggested it, and then did the whole top of my arm. I am now on day 3 of my whole arm reacting poorly, rather than just a small patch test on the top of my hand. I just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else wanted a patch test done here. Eyebrow threading is amazing here though!

My mother who is a senior citizen purchased a hair tool along with other items spent over $200 tried to return an item after being explicitly told that you can return it if it wasn’t what she was looking for. Clearly this establishment does not keep their word. My wife and her sisters go there regularly but WILL NOT be going there again. No integrity.

Warning don't buy hair tools at trade secrets!!! I bought a blow dryer brush, spent $150 with taxes. Was told I could bring it back within 1 year if there was a manufacturing issue. My receipt clearly states that you can bring stuff back for an exchange within 14 days. The brush didn't work for my hair and I only used it once. Got to the store and was told too bad hair tools are final sale no if's ands or buts. Spoke to the girl who cashed me out originally and of course she says she clearly told me it was final sale which she did not. Now I'm stuck with a $150 dud. I'm livid!! Think twice before buying!! If I would have bought it anywhere else I'd be able to at least exchange it for something else. Extremely upset is an understatement!!!!!! Bad customer service!!!!!!

After I had my second daughter, my curls fell and I started having bad dandruff. Becki was able to show me products that not only has started to help my dandruff, but has also brought back my curls and made them silky smooth!! I am so grateful for the amazing advice and products!!
