I have a very unique experience to share: just before Christmas and after 3 years of research and nearly 18 months of looking for the right car, I came across my 2012 Porsche 911 Turbo 6-Speed via a well known Porsche focussed online auction house and for sale hosted by TSA in Toronto. I purchased the car for CAD$148k (to incl. 15% NS taxes) but WITHOUT EVER SEEING IT MYSELF. Lots of challenges: being an auction, I had literally no idea who might be the "opposition" and/or where they might be bidding from. Auctions like PCar and BAT are global. Further, being from out of province (I'm in NS; car was in ON), how might I conduct a PPI? At first this all seemed rather scary. So I reached out to the sellers - Adam and Aryan at TSA via the auction site to discuss my requirements. Without hesitation, they immediately showed themselves to be very open and amenable gentlemen and within 2 hours, for example, delivered the car for me to Pfaff Porsche in North York, ON where I had arranged to have a PPI done (at my cost). With everything checking out OK on the vehicle, I proceeded to bid in the 7 day auction. Upon conclusion and with the Auction site informing me I had won, Adam reached out to detail next steps required to close our new deal. To say this type of transaction is complex is an understatement. And consider too, it's one solely based on TRUST. Nothing else matters. Both TSA gentlemen proved very open and communicative sharing Vehicle Docs. and other pertinent information via text and WhatsApp and in a timely manner. Upon the transfer of funds, and one day later, Aryan had the car registered in my name concluding our deal. I also asked them to recommend 2 vehicle shippers from which I chose one. TSA detailed the car beautifully prior to collection and transport (within a closed trailer) and when it arrived safely and unmolested 2 days later, it met my every expectation. So praise where praise is due: brothers Adam and Aryan proved themselves to be honourable, decent people. They run a business that is all about passion for very special motor vehicles and in dealing with them, it quickly became clear to me that that passion and honesty drives their very professional conduct.
