When thrifty first started it reminded me of Woodward's, I started at "W" in 1966 and left 1981,young staff fun times, customers were the most important to our success now its changed ,seems staff not caring about customers just their pay cheque.

Thrifty’s has never been my first choice. It’s always loud and the customer base in Sidney needs to lose some of their entitled attitude. Two different seniors hit me with their carts today and then got mad at me (I was standing in line for the registers out if the way from the aisles). My issue here though is the smell. Thrifty’s has always had a less than pleasant smell but today walking in those front doors was like being hit in the face with a rotten fish. Even wearing a mask to cut some of the odour this was enough to make me feel sick to my stomach. Why Thrifty’s? Why do you always smell bad.

I was first in line at the customer service counter and an employee who just got off duty cut in front of me to get served first. The older lady totally ignored me and served the young employee anyway tanning they're sweet tune socializing as I stood there waiting. This isn't the first time this happens. This horrible customer service! I get much better service at Fairway and Save-On-Foods. I won't be going back...

Lemon meringue pie is awfully. To much salt in a thin crust and the lemon filling is bitter. Walmart is better and cheaper 7.99 verses 349. The store is expensive and most prices are ridiculously high.

Whenever we go to the Island Thriftys is our first stop. There's a country store familiarity about it and it always there. Friendly staff and plenty to choose from. Always a pleasent experience. Make it your first stop today!

Great store. The folks at the sushi counter are amazingly kind, helpful and friendly. All staff are great here. Large deli and bakery selection.

I like Thrifty's, they have a great deli and meat department. There produce and veggies are excellent and a tasty bakery if your into that. Pricing seems no different than the bigger stores really. The service is better than most as someone is always nearby and you become familiar with the staff in a smaller place.

This review is about the Flower Shop. A glorious range of plants and flowers, with lots to choose from. Staff are knowledgeable about everything they sell, and they told me how to look after my Aloe Vera that I purchased there. I made an impulse purchase on a bunch of pretty flowers, by the door. They looked a bit too skinny to fill the vase I had, so two bunches would have been better. Such a purchase might be around $50. You get beauty and life for your money - not to mention Brownie Points. Beauty and life are fleeting and no amount of money can bring them back. I recommend seizing beauty and life, while the going is good...
