★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The customer service is absolutely horrible at the Vancouver Intl. Airport, there are so many issues and hidden costs - insurance bought through economybookings doesn't count for them, extra charge of $350 for deposit is hidden and no information about it is ever provided. The employers and manager of the YVR branch were very arogantly to us, impatient and disrespectful, providing very limuted information despite requests. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm very unhappy with the service even though the car was decent, clean and on time. First of all, I've chosen the deal because I thought adding the 2nd driver was for free. The voucher mentionned 2nd driver "prebooked" and the person at the desk told us that it doesn't mean it's free. Why this kind of communication then ? It has nonsence for me and it leads to misunderstandig. Besides, the person at the desk was not very helpful nor welcoming.
When I returned the car, it was only half an hour late and I was charged around 23 $ after taxes and service charge for an initial at around 11$. It never happenend in my life, even in Canada to be charged after less than one hour late. Usually car rentals do it for free as a courtesy.
Will never rent a car with Thrifty anymore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rental fee has been paid twice, and these people say there is no mistake.
1. I made a reservation through the Expedia website on March 7 and completed the payment. (Total around $65 including travel insurance)
2. I gave my credit card information because I had to pay for diposit and car insurance in the process of picking up the car on March 13. (He told me that the car insurance was $31.99).
3. I returned the car that evening and received a receipt saying that the diposit had been refunded.
4. On March 15, I received an alarm that the rental car company paid $62 with my credit card.
5. I tried calling 6-7 times in total, but only by auto voice.
6. On March 16, I visited the rental company and told them that the payment was made twice, but they said there was no mistake.
In conclusion, They only had to pay $31.99 for car insurance, but they paid about $62 for rent price once again by my credit card. And I couldn't get a refund.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely the easiest in / out rental process and location I've ever experienced. Staff was super friendly, efficient and informative. If you're in need of a car at the Vancouver Airport, don't look anywhere else, this place tops them all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outstanding service from Steve and Steven. After landing at 9pm to collect my car from another provider that other provider denied me a car and stranded me at the airport without assisting me to collect proper documents online.
Steven and Steve went over and above to make sure I had all i needed and was on my way! Most kind, helpful team that I would definitely recommend to go see!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used the Thrifty-Vancouver International Airport branch during my last visit to Vancouver. The staff was great and helpful. I have been served by "Simon" and he was so helpful, cheerful, and explained all the rules and requirements so quickly. He even helped me by answering questions regarding previous experiences that I had. I got the car that I was looking for, in good condition and clean. I recommend Thrifty-Vancouver Airport for their good customer service and their wide variety of cars. I think they will be my first choice on my next trip to Vancouver

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very pleasant experience with friendly and helpful representative! He took care of a booking mistake that we had as we booked online. The car we got had smell as if someone smocked into it and the fella was very accommodating and swapped the car to another one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't know what the negative reviews are even talking about. The process to get the car and to return it took literally seconds and the staff are all super friendly (and cool) and it's the cheapest option ... I also saved 35% compared to other car rental places and got brand new Nissan. Whole thing was so easy it's almost too good to be true. They don't pressure you into the insurance or any kind of money scam....
