★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ridiculous. We ordered a washing machine and dryer at the beginning of March as ours broke. First delivery, the washing machine was damaged, second delivery, it was damaged again, third delivery, damaged once again. Our fourth delivery was today. They only sent us a dryer and didn’t know that they were supposed be taking our old machines. Now they’re telling us we can’t get a washing machine until June. We haven’t had a washing machine in almost 2 months. They have told us there is nothing they can do for us as it is “‘not their fault” 3 machines came damaged. Never buying appliances from them again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not one to complain but I had paint mixed to paint my cupboards over the weekend and the paint did not match the sample I gave them. it was lighter and not the same shade of blue at all. When I went back I asked them politely to fix it and make it darker and they told me they couldn't add more pigment in it as it would ruin the paint. It was expensive paint as well almost 100$!!! I know the policy for mixed paint is strict but considering it was THEIR mistake mixing it( I didn't just change my mind about the color lol) I showed them pictures next to the sample and everything! it was cleary and obvious Not what I asked for they could have replaced my gallon of paint but No they just told me there was nothing they could do for me. Unfortunately the paint department is short staffed the Manager said to me and the ones assigned to the paint department at the moment have No knowledge of paint, No experience mixing paint. They are not trained properly that's not fair at all! Now I'm out 100$!!! Customers beware!
My mother works at home depot in Montreal and she advised me to go to cooperate about this situation in this particular location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Answer your phones!!! Took 3 days of trying to call the store periodically before getting through to someone(who was very helpful, mind you). I didn’t come down to the store as I had a cold (covid symptoms), and I was looking to book an appointment for deck building consultation. Should have been so simple. That is the big box store service you get I guess… Update - I had a consultation for deck building. I ordered $6300 of materials. Was supposed to receive delivery on Saturday between 8am-8pm. Never came, never got a call, and the status of the order went from out on delivery to re-scheduling. Received a call on Monday morning from an employee asking me if all I was waiting on are the screws and bolts on the order. Are you serious? I haven’t been delivered anything yet, and I’m trying to find out when I will be getting my delivery so I can start my project. If you want to feel like a number, deal with Home Depot’s delivery service. They offered a free delivery for my troubles($75), and the manager I last spoke to sounded line she was 22 years old with not much experience and not much empathy for my situtation. Just received a call moments ago and I’m getting my delivery this afternoon. Get your ish together!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Never buy a large appliance from Home Depot. Long story but suffice to say waiting on 3rd delivery attempt. All because of delivery company they use. I thought you could rely on Home Depot. I don't think so any longer. Been without washer/dryer 2 months and counting.
Had to give it one star. I would have given NO stars if it let me.
Think twice about buying large appliances from this company.
Update. In all fairness, Home Depot reimbursed me for the inconvenience by paying the taxes and a $100 gift card.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had old hinges that needed replacing, staff were able to find someone that was knowledgeable and explained the product. Brought them home and they fit and worked perfectly. I started browsing and the gentleman asked if he could assist me with anything, so I asked about the Ryobi tools, he also was quite knowledgeable and explained the differences in the different models and makes. I bought the package with the drill and impact driver that was on sale. I used the drill to mount a TV mount and it worked great and it wasn't heavy like the others.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Of all the big surface American home improvement stores, this is my favourite. Good prices overall and something for all budgets. The service isn't always as knowledgable as a small town shop but I found more helpful advice here than competing big box chains which is why I come back here first over them.

I talked to Judy over the phone to confirm my order was received etc, she was very professional, polite and efficient in providing the assistance I needed. Furthermore the turn around for the processing of my order was fast tracked and ready within minutes.
