The Grande Kitchen + Bar

A refreshing surprise! I can't remember the last time I had good service and food at a restaurant. Our server Peter was thoughtful and highly attentive. He took the kids order first without us having to ask. All of our food came out hot and quick. We were asked if we wanted refills on our drinks through out the night, Peter didn't miss a beat. The food is not what you expect from a hotel restaurant, unique twists on some familiar items. Pizza was a hit with a fantastic crust. My son is a very picky eater and this was the first time he asked to try the food from all of our plates.

We are staying at an Airbnb in this hotel and decided to stop by the restaurant downstairs for lunch after a hike to Eiffel Lake (around 10km and 800+ calories burned). The salads are so refreshing. Just what we needed to recharge. Our server was very friendly and accommodating despite how busy they were. Had a leisurely time with tea. Highly recommend.

I had the crab cake Benny. Definitely the best I’ve ever tried, very tasty crab cake with thick portion, real crab meat and great flavour. Highly recommend!

We are staying at the Grande Rockies Resort by Bellstar. Came down and were quickly seated. Chelsea was our server and she was most friendly and efficient. She had us setup with water and was making red wine recommendations. I ordered the pork schnitzel and potatoes and my wife ordered the quinoa wheat berry salad. Both arrived before we knew it and were filling delicious. Thanks to the staff for a most pleasant dinner experience.

Staying at the resort so we thought on our first night we’d try out the restaurant. I am so glad we did! Our server Terence was great! He was so welcoming and friendly! We ordered the spicy garlic wings and two burgers because it was burger night. The wings came out piping hot and they had just the right amount of spice. I had ordered the crab cake burger and my spouse ordered the classic burger. He orders his burgers plain and it ended up coming out with sauce so we told our server and he did not hesitate to make it right! Within 10 minutes he had a brand new fresh burger. My crab cake burger was delicious! The only thing I could say about it was that there was too much tartar sauce but that’s just my preference! The buns were so soft, the house chips were perfectly cooked and everything came out so fast. Will definitely return!

My wife and I decided to give this place a try. It was a snowy blustery night in Canmore. The restaurant was warm and welcoming as were the staff. The restaurant was busy and I knew this was a good sign. We were greeted and seated promptly even though we were early. We started with cocktails. I had the cherry mojito which was flavorful. It is sweet so not for everyone. My wife had a type of tea. I forgot the name but she enjoyed it very much. We ordered the spareribs and the pork schnitzel plus an Asian salad to share along with our meal. The food arrived quickly. First let me say that I eat with my eyes first. The presentation of these dishes was eye catching and very thought out. Impressive. The salad was delightful with a sweet Asian dressing. Very nice assortment of greens and veg plus lots of crunchy textures. My spareribs were Korean inspired. I was not disappointed. Literally fall of the bone & generous amount of sweet n savory meat that I could cut with a fork accompanied by a fresh assortment of fresh grilled vegetables and crispy potato wedges I found hidden under the spareribs. It was truly a nice surprise. My wife’s schnitzel was incredible! Accompanied by a nice mix of grilled vegetables. The breaded pork was crispy and juicy. I had a bite and was amazed how tender the pork was and not dry at all. The tomato based sauce was incredibly flavorful and only served to enhance the crispy juiciness of the pork. It’s like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. My wife never finishes her meals and she completely cleaned off her plate down to the last morsel. She even finished before me which never happens. I would be happy to steer anyone looking for an amazing dining experience to The Grand Kitchen & Bar. Hands down some of the most flavorful dishes we’ve experienced in Canmore. Two thumbs up! Ps: we highly encourage anyone to try these 3 dishes.

Had a nice dinner at this restaurant. Staff were great, welcoming and attentive. Ordered the salmon burger, a salmon fillet with smoked salmon. Very tasty, but quite messy to eat as a burger, would have worked better without the bun. French fries were great, too addictive! Would come here again
