★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These guys know their boots! I won't hesitate them again for boot fitting work, they have become my new go to source. The Ski Cellar really struggled to punch out my K2 touring boots on four occasions and they nickle and dime'd me on the service every time I went back for them to address the same problem. Ski Uphill had the boots properly punched out in 30 minutes flat for less than their competition, my problem was solved in the time it takes to order and drink a cup of coffee. The service was expert, fast and friendly. I love how they work on your boots on the spot. It makes a boot fitting trip from Calgary before or after skiing work. Great job!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place. Free coffee, a place to chat while shopping for many items for hiking, skiing, etc & other items including Tailwind endurance fuel, etc. Knowledgeable & friendly staff including massage therapists & physio therapists!
The owner Gavin has adopted the "community" type of business. You feel very welcome as soon as step into their place. I highly recommend you try this place out! And a shout out to 1 of their staff that has relatives in NS, I'm sorry I didn't get your name but it sure was enjoyable talking to you about home!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was in recently in search of a running vest and a new pair of trail runners. I'm a seasoned hiker, but entry level trail runner and had no idea where to start. I had two friendly and knowledgable sales reps helping me narrow down what I needed. Their recommendations not only helped me get what I needed in a timely fashion, but the gear has been amazing. My first day out in my new shoes and vest I ran my first 10k without stopping- ever in my life! They even made my partner a latte while he waited. I will definitely be back any time I need any sort of running or touring gear. One of the best retail sales experience I've had.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the single greatest footwear experience and possibly the best store experience I've ever had. I came in with some elderly touring boots I was hoping to get fitted to my feet a bit better, ended up spending almost an hour trying to make them work, then in the end got fitted for a pair of way, way better new boots. Everyone working there made me feel really cared for and respected. Someone made me a really good cup of coffee while the person helping me with my boots so patiently went through every step of the process with me. I am also kind of a disaster and didn't have my VISA card with me, so they emailed me an invoice so I could pay online. It was just a wonderful experience and I can't recommend this place enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried a number of running stores in Calgary, but always felt either like I was in their way or that they didn't really know what they were talking about. A number of trail runners on social media recommended RunUphill in Canmore, so I went there a few days ago looking for the right trail running shoe. I had purchased and tried a number of brands before but still hadn't found quite the right shoes for my feet and preferred terrain. The associate at RunUphill took a great deal of time with me and answered all my questions. He also ASKED all the right questions to figure out which features have worked for me in the past and which haven't, and let me try as many shoes as I wanted OUTDOORS. The end result is that I now have a pair of trail runners that truly feel like the perfect shoes for my feet. I can't recommend RunUphill enough for their knowledge, friendliness and compassion for the sport. They really take the time to help you get matched up with the perfect gear for your needs!

I never felt rush or pressured to buy anything, and everyone was SO patient as I figured things out. In fact, Alex recommended that I take the time to explore other shops and really find what worked best for me.
I've had bad experiences in the past with other gear shops, so I really appreciated the genuine concern for my wallet and wellbeing. These folks just want you to have fun out there!
When I eventually settled on a pair of boots from SkiUphill, the fitting was done carefully and I had no problems coming back later in the season to get my boots adjusted. These folks know their stuff and they aren't looking to make a quick buck. I don't even bother with any of the shops in Edmonton anymore because I know the trip out to Canmore is absolutely worth it!
The selection of gear is clearly well thought out and caters to folks that want quality craftsmanship and optimal performance. 1000% recommend SkiUphill/RunUphill to anyone and everyone! Beginners will get unbiased recommendations and more seasoned folks will have a lot of options for sweet gear.
I'll definitely be supporting this local business for years to come. Keep up the great work, y'all!

These guys took the time to call me and explain what options I had, exchanged the item for me and placed the right one in my package hassle-free. Arrived super quick! Just received it today, beautiful personalized note inside from Becca. Everything in the box is in perfect condition. I’m usually sceptical about ordering gear online especially from across country but these guys made it the best experience possible. It was my first order with you & there will be many more to come. This year we wanted to adventure into the back country safely and the entire team here has supported us with their technical knowledge and personal experience. If they don’t know the answer, they turn to their colleague for their thoughts. The custom boot fitting was key. After five times out, I experienced heel blisters and Joël was quick to provide a couple recommendations which included wedging and they’re perfect. Secondly, they have demos for rent which gave us not only the idea of what skis would be a best fit but also what we appreciated in a binding. Definitely thankful for the demos. Without this personal service, we wouldn’t be as prepared as we are for our upcoming Wapta traverse with the U of C Outdoor Centre the beginning of April. Thank you To Joël and all the team we collaborated with during this journey. All the best!
