We Got the Gear! There is a reason why that is our main slogan. We rent a wide range of outdoor equipment in all seasons of the year. When summer graces us with her sunny rays and warm air we hire out a wide range of bicycles (town, hard-tail, full-suspension, road, kids bikes, etc.), hiking equipment, as well as being the only rental store in Banff that rents out camping equipment! We supply everything from the tent to the lantern, from the cooler to sleeping bags – we’ve got it all!

Once Mother Nature graces us with the magical white powder we all hope for, we bring out the big guns – skis and snowboards! Aside from the massive variety we carry in the types of equipment in skiing and snowboarding, we also rent out x-country ski gear, snowshoes, ice-walk crampon’s for hiking, as well as renting out hockey skates + hockey sticks for those who want to dabble in Canada’s greatest game.

These are only some of the equipment among the lists of items we rent year-round such as; hiking boots, hiking poles, climbing helmets, running strollers, baby backpacks, fat bikes, snow pants + winter jackets, rain suits, etc.

With 40 years of experience, we know the needs of the visitors of Banff National Park. As a local-family owned store we understand the desire to have the quality Canadian Rockies experience, and with that we also understand you cannot pack everything with you on a plane – and that is what we are here for. We had some good time cycling around Banff town and Bow fall trail. If you could bring your own helmet and bike lock, please do so and avoid using theirs.
K	K on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my go-to place to rent equipments in Banff/Canmore/Lake Louise area. The staffs are always very friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. Their prices were very reasonable for the area and their equipments are all in very good conditions I have rented with them both for the summer and winter: mountain bike, electric bike, fat bike, skis, xc skis and skates... all amazing. There was one time my bike broke down in the middle of nowhere between Canmore and Banff and they were able to come within 30 min with a truck to bring me back and gave me a refund! Please don't ever change!

Open late to hand stuff back and even allowed us to have a day off if we took back half the stuff without charging for the day. Right in the centre of town on Bear Street which is great unless you stayed outside like us so it was a bit of a hike back on the last day.

It is the absolute best bang for your buck in terms of rentals for the banff national park area and you won’t get better service! Good quality items to rent and terms of rental including pick-up/drop off times and price are unbeatable. Never rent your skis at Sunshine again!
