We had our wedding reception at the Sensory on Sept 25th 2021 - Both Terry and Jennifer went above and beyond to ensure the whole day went as smoothly as possible and that all my wedding day dreams came true! Everything was set up exactly how I had imagined it and the room was absolutely gorgeous. The communication was always easy and on time - which a type-A bride really appreciates. Chef Sarge was phenomenal and helped me create a custom menu to satisfy all my food cravings! Highly recommend to anyone looking to have a modern & bright & tasty wedding reception in Canmore!

Let me start off by saying how thoughtful, professional and kind Terry and Jennifer are. This is complimented by a staff that is relentless in ensuring the highest level of care to each and every customer. Last August we held our beautiful wedding reception here. If you’re looking somewhere else. Stop! This is the one. Where do we start? Is it the scenery? The atmosphere? The hard working staff? Or dare I say… The Food! It’s all of it. It is the attention to detail in every aspect of The Sensory and it’s staff, that made our special day a success. Not a single person had a negative comment about the venue, food, or scenery. The Chicken was perfect, the Beef was phenomenal, The Salmon - A Bear couldn’t find it fresher. The Chef is certainly talented. Even with a religious dietary restriction the food came out without missing a single ounce of flavor. They were warm, accommodating, professional and so very thoughtful from the set-up, to the take-down. Humbled professionals, is all I can think of. The only regret I have about holding our wedding here was not coming sooner. This team and this business strive to be the best at what they do. I can attest, with the wedding we had and our experience. They are the best! I cannot wait to share more memories here every time we are in Canmore. It’s that good.

We visit Canmore a lot and have driven past this unassuming restaurant countless times but had no idea what awaited inside. The dining experience was beyond fabulous. And the views are stunning. The Sensory takes great care in not only taste but also presentation. It's clear they are about an all around experience. I had the Lamb. It was noted in the menu as: "Local Sungold farms lamb sirloin, Canmore Pasta gemelli, sauteed mushrooms, sundried tomato pesto & cream sauce, goat feta, truffle oil". I loves the gemelli! And the Lamb was served perfectly. My partner had the char which was printed as "Seared char, truffle pomme puree, compressed watermelon, basil, & cucumber salsa, crispy fish skin, finished with Alberta cold pressed canola oil". She made some adjustments due to dietary restrictions. Overall, a spectacular experience. Who knew that this gem was hiding inside of this unassuming spot.

We were visiting Canmore and wanted to go out for a nicer dinner so chose The Sensory. The food was delicious, our server Keith was excellent. The only suggestions I'd make is maybe have a better location for a bar as the bar was downstairs but the dining was upstairs. Not sure if this is why our drinks took so long to arrive, regardless they were great. Also, there was a wedding reception happening at the same time as we were dining. It didn't bother us too much as the reception started halfway through our dinner but we were right by the window so our view of the mountains was obstructed by the people. Overall, our experience at the restaurant was good but maybe in the future notify patrons of the events you are having so they can grab a different table or choose another night to visit.

We had the spicy shrimp for a starter - it was spicy + delicious. We all tried and shared the steak, chicken, Arctic char and the burger. The flavours were amazing. For drinks we tried the old fashion, espresso martini, spicy marg and the mojito - all really good! Downside - found shreds of tin foil in the burger dish - stopped eating it, let the server know - absolutely nothing was done about it. We didn’t make a big fuss but felt like this coloured the experience in a poor light.

Amazing food. Expectations blown out of the water. NoΓ©mie, our server, was fantastic and welcoming. If you are daring enough, the β€œtrust me” option on the menu is something I’ve never experienced before, but something I feel all highly rated restaurants should include on their menus.

Went for dinner after a long day and was not disappointed. We ordered the bread and butter with pate (extra) and the goat cheese with crackers to start. As for mains we shared the the pasta and prawns and the lamb shank with roasted veggies/beetroot puree. The pasta which was a ravioli, was so delicious, the filling was a butternut squash puree and the prawns were massive. It was tossed in a maple cream sauce with white wine. Absolutely divine!! And the lamb shank was super tender and literally falling off the bone, the mashed potatoes and beetroot puree were paired amazingly. For dessert we ordered the cheesecake with candied peaches and cream. Nice dessert to end the night. They also offered a 3 course tasting menu which was a nice touch but we stuck to the original menu. Would highly recommend!

Great food. Decent value. Would give it a 4.5 if I could. Got the lamb and shrimp pasta. Pasta sauce was really nice with the white wine maple cream in it. Too much bread in the starter and the cheese cake crust was a bit soggy. Lamb was extra tasty with the garlic mashed potatoes. Would come again.
