Still had great service in a quiet little pub for the perfect sized lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a pub that is attached to a seniors home. It’s an excellent way to bring our seniors and community together. The menu is limited but what they do; they do very well. Loved the burger and salad. It’s like many of the local pubs in the UK that bring the entire community together. We will be going back. Next time you struggle to get a family reservation on a Saturday evening; I would suggest you look them up.

We had the fish and chips and they were crisp and tasty...worthy of being wrapped in newspaper British style! Very Good. We noticed that their was live music when we picked up our food...wish we had ate in. Lots of great beer on tap as well and salt of the earth staff! Just go!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for Thursday night burgers special at your freindly neighborhood pub. We were staying at the Windtower and were looking for a place close by for dinner. On our walk to downtown we stumbled upon the Mineshaft. The place was pleasantly quite and there was no wait we were seated right away. Service was top notch and quick!. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and awesome background music. We were blown away by the quality. The burgers hit the spot - the bacon was crispy, lettuce and tomato were fresh and the cheese was cheesy. I substituted the french fries for onion rings and my partner's substituted the fries for sweet potato fries. All was delicious!! We shared the lava cake for dessert -it was amazingly moist and the fresh fruit and ice cream really added a special touch. I was super happy they had cider and my partner was stoked with the selection of beer. Overall, I highly recommended mineshaft for beers and burgers (and lava cake!!!) while it's still a hidden gem of canmore!
