Several years now and still going strong. I purchased a pair of 29er MTB from Dave several years ago and they are still going strong. When my needs changed because my riding style became more aggressive Dave had suggestions to make our bikes even better. Those modifications were made quickly and efficiently while I was there. I drive in from the Toronto area and it is well worth it for me. I don't get this kind of service level anywhere else for any product. Now I'm going back to get another bike as a gift and I know it will not be the last one. Switft bicycles make happy times!

I have edited my review in an attempt to explain my point of view based on Dave's allegations below: I have never posted an online review and I have posted this review after careful consideration because I have no intention to damage a local business' reputation. I posted this review based on 3 reasons: I had referred Swift bikes to 4 friends since I bought mine and they have voiced concerns regarding the safety of their bikes. Some of these bikes have already had mechanical issues that should not occur during normal use. When I took the bike and broken parts to a nearby bike shop I was told that they hear many complaints regarding Swift bikes and the business owner, this sentiment was echoed by other bicycle shops I spoke to. Dave at Swift did a complete 180 when my bike broke, he took the broken parts, refused to give them back and the manner in which he yelled at me scared me which was the reason my friend returned on my behalf. I had purchased my bike the first week of April. During the first week of June my son borrowed my bike, when he shifted in mid gear the gears jammed and the rear derailleur shot up and into the gears. My son tried to pull the derailleur out of the wheel but the arm broke off (the arm was part of the frame). I asked different bike shops and bike enthusiast what may have caused this and the comment each time was that a pebble or twig could have got stuck in the gears or the rear derailleur was of poor quality or not installed properly. When I asked Dave if it could be fixed, he became very angry and belligerent and immediately accused my son. I asked for the cost and time line, a short time later Dave had removed the broken parts and refused to return them. Dave did indeed help fix my son's bike, a 3 year old CCM bike, which was appreciated at the time. My son's bike had issues with the pedals and had a flat tire, not uncommon repairs for a 3 year old factory produced bike. I offered to pay for the repairs but Dave refused payment, not based on my financial situation which he continues to fixate on and was never discussed, but due to the fact that he had sold 4 bikes to my friends and he claimed that this made me a VIP customer. He also fixed 2 flat tires for me which occurred when I was using my bike. I have no wish to continue to engage in a He Said She Said situation, I would advise any person considering the purchase of a Swift bike to visit local bike shops and ask for their opinions. I have since bought a quality bike at a local bike shop and have found a noticeable difference in performance. For me, it was worth it to pay more!

I dropped off my bike at Dave's shop, and he immediately went through with me everything that would need to be done to it, and discussed the function of the parts that needed replacing. During his work on the bike, he sent me progress pics of everything that was being changed and replaced, which was absolutely fantastic. Fast forward a day later when I go to pick it up, and it rides better than it ever did when I bought it NEW. Dave is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, with a very strong customer-first mindset, which was so great to see. I would definitely return to SWIFT for any future maintenance I'd need, his shop definitely won me over as a customer. Thank you again Dave and SWIFT Bike Shop!

Dave was super friendly and knowledgeable. I approached originally about a bike lock which he provided at a very reasonable price for such a quality u-lock. I then asked about a minor gear issue I was experiencing. He had me back on the road with working gears in less than ten minutes, all the while with a smile on his face. Will definitely be going here for all my servicing and bike needs during my time in Waterloo, and I highly recommend other biking enthusiasts do the same.

I bought the bike on July 3rd, 2020 and I already put on 600 KM. I have had no problems and the bike is working very well. I would highly recommend Swift bicycles and if needed I would buy another one. Very friendly and helpful people and I got to test drive a bike before I bought it. One year later and over 3000km the bike still rides like new. The only thing I did in the first year was to tighten the Threadless Headset. I also chose to install new style pedals for my own comfort. Still happy with my purchase.

I bought a bike from Dave at Swift. Great guy, he asked questions about what kind of riding I would do, gave me lots of options. I rode it hard all last summer, and had to take it back for something I did to the bike an oops. Dave fixed it quick and suggested several great ideas. Great price on bike great service

Excellent experience. Dave is super friendly and upfront and honest. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about bicycles. He explained what was up with my bike so very easy to understand. He fixed my warped wheel, replaced tire, adjusted brakes and tune up plus a new seat for best price I ever seen in Canada. He fixed it all same day in less than 2 hrs. My old bike is like new again. Thank you again. Will definitely be back in future :)

Dave & Will at Swift were very helpful. I was experiencing poor gear changes with my road bike, and even sometimes the chain would fall off completely. While other bike stores would take weeks to repair and return my bike, Swift (very aptly named) only took about 45 minutes to repair my bike. They gave it a good tune-up and now it rides even better than when I got the bike, with the gear changing very smooth now! Furthermore, their pricing is very reasonable. I highly recommend this family bike shop!
