Terrible experience!! I had pre-ordered and placed a deposit on a bike rack early Jan, which was supposed to arrive on Apr 15. Bike rack still hadn't arrived and it is now June! Almost two months of getting the run around telling me the bike rack was in 'transit' multiple times, just to find out that the new expected arrival date is now late Oct. Now I am out of a bike rack all summer. Extremely frustrated as I placed a deposit on the rack 4 months prior to the first expected arrival date. The only positive is that they refunded my deposit after all was said and done.

Just purchased a Velec R48 Large size from Cycle Electric. Have almost 100km on already in less than a week.. Very impressed with the service and salesmanship so far. They actually took the time to answer any of our questions and concerns. thanks guys! happy customer.

I called and they were very helpful when I needed my 60 volt jet e- bike trouble shot for a problem. I was only there for approximately 20 minutes and he diagnosed the problem. A couple of hours later I was back to the shop and loaded it up and on my way home with it the same day. This saved me another trip down to Waterloo . Very great service and I recommend this bike shop.

Great place very quick and I wouldn't go anywhere else for bike maintenance ebike maintenance and the purchase my e-bike that is for damn sure.

Adrian and Mitchell were fantastic! I came in with my bicycle wheel to fix 2 spokes and they were honest, helpful and also friendly! Will be returning!

(REVIEWER EDIT) [Cycle Electric contacted me and offered a new throttle assembly, pick up, installation, and delivery waived. I raised their rating from 1 to 4. This issue has been resolved] Not a very good experience for me. I had work to be done on 2 ebikes, they picked them up separately within a few weeks apart. I had to call a few times to ask what was taking so long for them to start the work. Was told they had to inspect the bike first and will not start any work until the customer is told what needs to be done so “There is no surprise costs” according to them. Which is a charge of $150 on the bill under Tuneup/Inspection plus parts and labour. When I got my bike back 2 weeks later they replaced my throttle grip from another bike that didn’t match the left grip which was not on the bill, I was not told that they will be changing it because it didn’t need to be replaced. I called and asked why it was replaced and they told me the throttle was intermittent which has nothing to do with the grip but the throttle assembly itself that they didn’t replace and said they did it out of the goodness of their heart. I asked for them to put my original grip on they said they can’t so I asked them to replace it and they said it would cost me $125 plus labour for the part. They never stated a replacement grip on the bill which leads me to believe someone there dropped my bike, broke the grip and replaced it with what they had laying around the shop and a zip tie. If Cycle Electric reads this review they will know who I am and I am giving Mitch and Adrian the opportunity to call me so we can rectify this issue. All together I paid over $1000 for the 2 bikes for repair and I didn’t get my bike back the same way as when it was picked up. Very disappointed.

I really can’t recommend this place enough. This father/son team are friendly, kind, and best of all, they know their stuff. They didn’t mind taking time to answer all my questions, treating me with dignity and honesty.

this shop is a family-owned business. everyone is extremely knowledgeable super friendly. I bug the heck out of them with tons of questions and they're always able to answer them. I came in 2 years after I bought my bike they still remember my name. Buy local these guys are great.
