★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Kawai digital piano had a couple of keys striking too hard and one that wasn’t at all. I contacted Steinway and they offered to come and have a look and repair. I discovered a way to clean it myself but kept in contact with Steinway. Via texting they consulted with me and we’re supportive. The cleaning did the trick and I didn’t need them in the end but I am impressed with their customer service via text. Because of their customer service, this would be the first place I go back to when it’s is something I can’t manage myself.

About a year ago, I walked into this gallery with my son looking for a piano and was immediately greeted by John Lam. After I described my intention, he recommended several models for my son to try it out. After which, he explicitly lists out the pros and cons and his opinions on each model for our consideration. The whole process was delightful and informative. Unfortunately, I was not able to make a purchase during that visit. I returned a year later with my son again and was greeted by John with the same hospitality. The entire purchasing process was smooth and pleasing as John detailly explains everything from piano delivery to piano maintenance. In addition to being a caring sales consultant, John is also a talented pianist with many years of playing and teaching experience. His advice on piano playing was both helpful and insightful.
I wholeheartedly recommend anyone who has an interest in purchasing a piano to pay a visit to this gallery and seek out John because, in the end, even though you might not walk away with a piano purchase, you will definitely walk away knowing more about piano than before you visit this gallery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ John Lam is a gifted pianist and also a wonderful teacher- patient, kind and passionate about music. I am so glad I found him as my son’s teacher. He is highly skilled at teaching. My son has making a tremendous improvement with only two classes.I would certainly recommend John as a piano teacher for any adult or child who wants to learn.
We had a great experience with Steinway piano galleries from the beginning. Kevin and all the other staff are very kind and helpful. Great customer service.

I visited Steinway on two different occasions - once to practice during a layover and the other for a recital and masterclass. John was an incredibly generous host, allowing me to practice for hours on some incredible instruments and providing everything necessary to support me.
He is high level pianist and a natural teacher whose students make impressive progress through his dedication and passion for helping them improve. I have learned much from his teaching myself.

He showed us a wide range of pianos, answered all of our questions thoughtfully and with detail, and let us play any piano we wanted. He is clearly passionate about pianos and it shows, he made us feel very welcome and excited to be there. I’m certainly looking to purchase a piano from here in the future, as the products are top quality and so is the staff.
