I came to St. Joseph paediatric emergency department lot of time for my son. Most of the times, I got bitter experience from the nurses. They were rude. They were not empathize to the patient and attendance. If they have been asked anything about patient’s needs, they were rude to answer those. I am describing my last time experience in Paediatric emergency department. Nurse was extremely rude when I came on Mar 25, 2022, Friday. We stayed in Paediatric department around 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm. I don’t know the name of the nurse. When She has been asked about patient’s need, she answered very rudely. I think patient relation department should monitor about this concern.

Your hospitality emergency looks like a third world FEMA facility. People rooting through garbage outside, had to drive around for 20 min looking for parking in lots that were full but had no indication they were full, greeted us by asking for our vaccine passport. Rude staff, totally inattentive, we went to Mount Sinai and were seen immediately. Total contrast in care, professionalism, and attentiveness, Don't even bother going to this emergency, it is disgusting.

I went to St Joseph's today. St Joseph has a bad Rep and I had a pleasant experience here today so writing my review to inform people. The emergency doctor was very patient, kind and knowledgeable, Dr Minh? Sorry I can't remember his name, young, fit, Asian background male doctor. Nursing staff was decent too. Overall a good experience, I mean it's a hospital end of the day and not a hotel. Thank you St Joseph.

Went there for abdominal pain monday night, diagnosed gallbladder stones and recommended to have surgery urgently tuesday morning. I did agree with it and placed in a bed in ER. Until noon Friday!!!, I was left hungry and thirsty with an iv line to survive the pain and be "ready" for the surgery. Let me reword that. I had to wait over 72 hours to have an ER admitted emergency surgery in pain with no food or water because hospital is not capable of planning logistics of surgery. Are you freaking kidding me!!!! The nurses and doctors were great, my frustration is with the incapable health care system plaguing our lives in province and county. This is beyond tragic to go through at low time of pandemic. For all the amount of work nurses and doctors have to handle understaffed, I appreciate their nerves of steel patience. You folks are unsung heroes of the times.

I want to thank all the nurses and emergency physicians at St. Joseph's Hospital. I went there because of severe kidney pain, they took care of me quickly and treated me sincerely, kindly and compassionately and took care of me. I remember that a very active and hard-working nurse named Yasmin took care of the patients and I am very grateful to her. This lady and other nurses and doctors give their time to patients with love and affection. May God Almighty bless them.

Honestly, it depends the time you go into the ER. The ER is quickest at 6am, less people and new doctors usually come in at that time. At 6am it may take only a few hours. If not, there's usually a really long wait time. Last time I came into the ER I waited 16 hours for a blood test and they told me to come back in a couple of hours to do an ultrasound. I got no sleep just to come back for my 'emergency appointment' and there was a really long line of people with only one person performing ultrasounds. On top of that, there was only one doctor available in the ER.

If you can go elsewhere, GO ELSEWHERE!!! The nurses here are SO RUDE. Everyone from the check-in process, triage and nurses in emergency. They don’t greet you as you walk up to the desk, when you ask a question they respond with attitude. I had to get an X-Ray and the nurse just pointed to follow the Orange line, I sat outside this door for 15mins before a nurse walking by tells me this X-ray room is out of service. When I was finally seen by a doctor I was put in a dirty room (during covid) the room had obviously used (see photo). I would NEVER come here for help again.

I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews here! I had the best experience this morning! I went there with a 2nd degree burn on my leg. I got admitted within half an hour. Registration nurses were so nice and friendly. I didn’t wait at all for the doctor to see me. He checked on me immediately, asked the nurse to give me a shot for my wound and they cleaned the wound and put bandage on my leg so I can go home! All the staff were so friendly with a positive attitude!!
