I was at this store at 11am today. I was looking for a DC Stag Men’s shoes as my brother back home wants it (for skateboarding I believe). One of the staff approached me and asked if I needed help, so I showed her a picture of what I was looking for. She claimed that she’s never seen it before. She then told me to check other stores that sell fashion shoes as they sell “a little bit of LUXURY stuff” at this store. I felt embarrassed, but have realized that she doesn’t know what she was talking about. God bless her career.

First let me say this store has INCREDIBLE staff!! Knowledge and attentive - the layout of the store is AMAZING! The lighting, the displays and the placement of the MASSIVE inventory is just very pleasing to the eye! This location that i attended at Yorkdale has 2 floors and even thought the store is HUGE, it was not overwhelming or crowded simply because they placed the perfect amount of space between all racks and displays! My only regret is not taking the names of the staff that day because they really made the visit a 5☆ for me - thank u xo

If there was a Zero star that’s what I would give. Thanks be called numerous times , kept on being put on hold, then the call would disconnect. After numerous attempts, finally spoke to someone who then put me on hold for another 15 minutes only to come back and have zero clue what I asked for. Was transferred to someone else who had pure attitude and just seemed like they hated their job. Once again put on hold, has troubles with understanding which item it was even though I provided the sky # and once again thought it was appropriate to give me attitude. Worst customer service I’ve ever received in any store within any mall. Management and/or area Supervisor/Director should definitely focus on customer service training. If I wasn’t desperate for this size as a gift, I would never Contribute to this locations business. Disgusting. Go to any other Sporting Life; in particular Hillcrest Mall, great customer service and their sales reps have patience.

Bad customer service and misleading ads, and false info. I went to this location to get me snow-pants, I saw a sign on the rack saying 50% off, and which is really eye-catching. I tried a few and decided to get one, it was $350ish, and 50%off, around 170, which is really nice, however, when I got to the cashier, the women told me it's at full price. I told her it's showing 50% off on the rack, so she talks to her manager, she said this to me "it is what it is, but it or leave it". I'm like .. wth? I went back to the rack and ask the guy there, he told me "ALL of the discounted products are sold out". Hey sporting life, your ads are super confusing and customer service is really bad.I don't know if you are trying to scam ppl or what? If there are no more 50% off product, either you leave the rack empty, or hide the sign. You put the regular price produce in under the sign, and told ppl you ran out of product? isnt this a scam? how if I didnt double check before i tap?

My sister and I went yesterday and bought 3 pairs of winter boots 30 minutes before closing time. Thanx for the tremendous help and kindness of Trinity, makes our trip quicker and easier. Perfect 5 for the Amazing customer service ??❤ !!!

Sporting Life at Yorkdale Mall have very rude and ill-mannered weekend managers. I bought a North Face jacket for my 8 year old. In less than 2 months the zipper wasn't working properly, so we took it back asking if we could send it out for repair or if the jacket was eligible for exchange... the staff at the counter were very pleasant and empathetic. But their managers were the worst kind of management. They came with a very negative attitude and told me my son wore the jacket and ruined it. My son standing next to me was so embarrassed. Then she (manager) told me she can send it out for repair, which was fine with us. A few seconds passed, another manager (male) came to tell me about North Face's limited lifetime warranty and little did he know I had checked that first. North Face has a third party policy, which states the product has to be taken back where it was initially purchased. He then just shrugged his shoulders and said sorry. So my question to them was, I spent $350 on a jacket and the zipper isn't working properly and you guys won't do anything? They responded saying, "unfortunately we can't do anything". I had some great experiences with the store managers who work during the week but their weekend managers (female and male both seemed South Asian) were by far the worst customer service managers I have ever met. I have been purchasing North Face jackets for myself, my husband and son for the last 6-8 years and we have never had an issue because their quality is good. But after this very unfortunate experience at Sporting Life Yorkdale in Ontario, it will be the last time I ever purchase anything from this company. Being empathetic and kind doesn't cost anything! Speaking to a customer with kindness can go a long way but unfortunately this was not the case here. Now, my son cannot wear this jacket since it does not zip properly and it is freezing out. Sad that my son had to witness how rude and ill-mannered people can be.

I was not (until now) a customer of Sporting Life. Recently, I had a very positive experience at their Yorkdale location in the ladies' footwear department thanks to the excellent service I received from Kean,. Kean was very knowledgeable, attentive, helpful and friendly. He is a wonderful ambassador for the Sporting Life Brand ! I left the store happy that day after purchasing several pairs of shoes/boots at a good price. I will definitely go back!
