I travelled 10 kilometres to this Sport chek in metro town because they seemed to be the only store which had the running shoes I wanted. But it was really disappointing experience. I waited for around 7-8 minutes before one of the male staff was able to attend to my needs. I kindly asked if he could get the shoes for me. And then I waited and waited and waited. He seemed to be busy and later other two customers also talked with him. Meanwhile another male staff was helping another two customers. They seemed to know each other as their conversation was not about shoes.... it’s fine to gossip and chat if the store is not busy. But at that moment quite a few customers were waiting for service, including me. the second male staff was too focused on his” friends” and ignored others customers. Plus we were there before his friends( or just acquaintances maybe). After another 7-8 mins, I still did not get the shoes I asked for. But I saw the first male staff was getting shoes for other customers AFTER me. When he finally realised I was still waiting, he approached me and asked again which shoes I wanted to try. Obviously he FORGET the shoes I asked for since he helped other customers first.....it’s upsetting so I just left.Such a waste of my time. They were under staffed and not professional

The staff were kind and somewhat helpful. However the layout of the store is really confusing and maze like. It is grouped by brand so going in for sport shorts and not caring about what brand made shopping rather challenging. Also their selection of cleats is dismal. One small pice of a wall display and that's it. Only 1 women's style that was on clearance and had 1 or 2 sizes available. No shade, just an unfortunate layout and poor selection.

They have a good variety of sports equipment/apperal. The people at the entrance are always nice but the ones in where you try the clothes are always in a bad humor. There is never someone in that area. They need to clean them because it smells bad and the mirrors are always dirty. But the staff in the rest of the place are good and willing to help.

How ridiculous is that you cant return swimming goggles and caps even if they don’t fit you? I hate buying things at Amazon but even Amazon has a more understanding return policy. This is the type of service that explains why retail stores are stopping existing and malls are closing.

Very disappointed experience there. I went there with my boyfriend he had heart surgery and we need heart beat measuring watch as someone recommended they have the watches. No one helped us we waited long. I went to one lady there and asked for help. Her response was which watch? What help? Like man, we are here to buy something if you don’t know then just say I don’t know. She was rude I forgot the name. We went to other guy working there he said I will call someone to help you he didn’t showed up again. I live close by so I prefer going there but after this experience ??

This 5 star review is based on this one particular experience. Based on all my years experiences with them, they are more consistently a 3. Today I went in for new runners. As usual there were more shoppers than associates in the section, but Buta did a fantastic job helping me. Any one who has worked retail, will know how easy it is to get flustered when there is 1 of you and 4-5 customers all wanting help at the same time. I could see he was becoming a little overwhelmed, but he kept his cool and apologized for me having to wait until he could help me. The apology was appreciated but unnecessary as I understood the situation. While trying out my shoes, I observed him being knowledgeable and attentive to the other customers. Once he was able to again, he helped me with my shoes and I was happily on my way. Thanks Buta!!!

Quentin made my experience! If you’re looking for help with product knowledge - it’s with him. He is really friendly, sweet, and he patiently answered all my questions when I was getting my snowboard. Even got my board mounted after they had closed! 10/10 ?
