★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give zero star, I would definitely do that. I ordered thai style spicy potato chicken(didn’t see ‘soup’ at all in the name), but what I got just one bowl of soup. Just few small pieces of (might be) chicken, taste more like small piece of pork. Will not come back again. The worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. Don’t recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in town. Love the quality! Recently I tried their dumplings, and really enjoyed them. Lots of traditional and also more familiar dishes to try. They also have a great range of prices, so it's affordable for everyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ **2 year update, still amazing, had pork ear, tripe and blood sausage, gizzards... Everything was amazing, as always!** Eat here for spicy, authentic Chinese cuisine like you've never had before in Calgary. I was impressed by the variety of flavours and gorgeous colors of the dishes. Would highly recommend to bring your friends that aren't picky or afraid of trying new things.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best restaurants in Calgary for Sichuan food. Ordered the Lemongrass Grilled Fish, Szechuan Spicy Chicken and Fried Potato, Green Pepper and Eggplant. Decided to try the Lemongrass Grilled Fish for the first time. Normally ordered Sliced Fish Fillet in Hot Chili Oil. The milder Guizhou Style Tomato Fish Soup is excellent as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a quite unique Chinese restaurant. For those who want to taste a real classic Chinese food mainly popular in the southern area of China. It is naturally spicy but really tasty. Of course you could ask the chief to put less chili for your meal if you can not handle its heavy duty of chili. I went there often as it is close to my home. The meals are always wonderful and I really enjoyed it. The prices are quite reasonable and the waitresses are very friendly with very good quality of services. The only thing that might causes a little issue is that you need to plan a little more time to go there as the parking # close to the restaurant in the neighborhood are limited, but there is always some roadside parking if you just park a little further and walk to the restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was authentic! Shredded dry bamboo with Chinese bacon, that is something that I cannot have at home. It feels “aldente” when I had my bites. Shredded potato is plain unless it is fried with leak flowers: that is the taste that I never had before, loved it! Fish swims in sauerkraut? Ok, that is my wife’s favorite and she had half of the basin for herself. I loved the atmosphere and it brings me the memory of traveling in southern China!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ South Silk Road is my favorite restaurant in Calgary. Whenever I think of hanging out with friends or a special family gatherings, the first choice is this place. staffs are friendly, floor is always clean and tables are always well organised. Strongly recommended.
