I do wish they offered mussels in black bean sauce, as that is a top favourite for me, but the chicken in black bean sauce was quite good. It was full so service wasn't the quickest, but that's to be expected at 230am on a Saturday. Thank you!

The service is good, the staff are friendly, and the portions very generous. Their deliveries are also generally fast and don't compromise quality -- a great stop for Chinese food downtown.

My friend and I had chicken fried rice, salt and pepper squid and beef noodles. They were all delicious. I recommend you try it, too.

Singapore Sam's was a LEGEND in Calgary during the 1980's - great western-style Chinese food and late at night on the weekends it secretly turned into a night club, where it was said that the music was blasting and woman were up on the tables dancing. Today, i tried them for the first time since i was a kid. The food was decent, very fresh. My only concern was that it was a little bland. The veggies were really fresh with a nice crunch to them even after being cooked, the meat tasted fresh. But the BBQ pork was not seasoned enough on the outside in that dark marinade that BBQ pork is traditional made. So the food is good and super fresh, you get what you pay for, but my review is just saying don't expect anything spectacular.

Great portions, amazing quality and lovely owners, and we have never had a bad meal. Check out their gluten friendly options - you can get everything (salt & pepper squid, ginger beef). Hope to visit soon - we've been doing take-out since Covid, but will have to come visit soon! Thanks for years of amazing meals and many more to come.
