They never reply phone call on time, they won't follow up you have to call all the time, not happy at all this branch manager never care

Why bother having a phone number when they do not answer it anyway!! If you own a business this is not the bank to deal with. Even HSBC is better!!

Everyone’s nice but!!!!!!! There’s always a new advisor, they seem overworked/overwhelmed and the only reason I say that is because I never get returned phone calls or emails and this isn’t the first time this has happened. I’ve literally had to make appointments at a different branch to get things done. Considering switching banks...not worth the fees or the hassle.

I wish I could give it less stars. The person who was helping me was insanely rude about me getting a bank account. When asked if I had a passport I said no and the person helping me responded with a very rude "why not?" Then I couldn't even make a bank account. Will not be going back to this bank again

We just visited this bank with my husband today. We followed up on a cheque deposited to his account as we are already wondering why it is still on hold, when it is already the 5th day. Previous cheques we have deposited were already available at 6am on the 5th day. The teller said it is still on hold for one more day. I don't know, why they are still holding on to money when it already cleared from the issuer. And it is just a matter of clicking a button to release it to make available to the account holder. Other branches' tellers are more accommodating and has a friendly customer service. We just felt discriminated (by the tone of the teller's voice) and maybe even the male manager (when my husband ask to use the washroom). Previously, a few months back, he was able to. It was a very negative experience today. I worked in customer service for almost 2 decades, and this tandem of teller and manager needs to be taught customer service skills, especially on how they communicate to their customers.

Just tried to cash a cheque sent to me from Scotiabank. After 20 minutes, two tellers and an additional advisor , they did exactly what I asked them not to do initially. I didn’t want the cheque deposited into my account first, I simply wanted to cash their own cheque issued to me. They deposited it and then had to make the correction to undo it. Damage done, Scotiabank. Listen to your clients.

Some of the worst customer service in the industry. There is no way to get a hold of the branch directly, you are always rerouted to the call centre. Just horrendous. Def not worth the fees they are charging. Zero stars would be the accurate rating.

Very rude and disrespectful. Did not treat myself or my business partner with any respect. When dealing with the teller and the bank manager both where very ignorant and obnoxious. Shame on them and all of ScotiaBank. Found out today they closed our business account without warning. If this makes you feel like you have done the correct thing....Congratulations!!!
