F	Fernando Po on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed for one night and thought it was quite nice! Roomy 2 queen bed room. Clean, quiet rooms. Very pleasant front desk staff. Breakfast was decent (if not a bit cold).

Since I was volunteering to help out a Ukrainian refugee with a puppy she brought to Canada I wanted to make sure their stay would be comfortable. Once I arrived at the hotel with the guest and the puppy I was told that my reservation was “very last minute”. (This was very confusing because I got all the confirmations by email and still have all the emails saved). I was told that I need to cancel it through BOOKING.COM and then re-book the room directly through the hotel. Once I cancelled the original booking I was told that there are no rooms available for the guest and the little puppy. I was shocked and could not believe the customer service. I requested to see the hotel manager. A lady by the name of Ines Toledo came up to me and told me that she is a hotel manager. I explained the situation to her and specifically asked for a solution. The hotel manager, Ines Toledo, told me that they have no rooms. So, here I was standing next to the Ukrainian refugee who does not speak English very well, trying to explain that there will be no hotel stay for them tonight. This is the Welcome to Canada that we got. Absolutely unbelievable. Zero customer service. Horrible experience that I will never forget.
R	Rahul Yadav on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here for 4 days. Check in was fast. The room was big and spacious. Wifi didn't work properly on my laptop. Breakfast was decent. The staff was friendly. Ample parking. Avis is onsite if you need a car rental.

We love the rooms and they are always very clean. The beds and pillows are super comfortable and we always enjoy the breakfast in the morning.
T	Tai Duong on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked a week in advance for 1 night in addition to paying for a late checkout fee for 4 in the afternoon. This was agreed upon. When I get there I get told that they don't do late checkouts even though the other lady had already booked it for me, which was misunderstanding on the his part so no worries at this point. The next morning I am questioned about my late check out several times to the point where I am begging them to stop asking me about when I'm leaving. It was already added to my file about my check out time and I had already paid, so I was frustrated. I still give it two stars because they refunded my late checkout fee after a complaint and the place itself is nice. Thanks anyways. Perhaps try checking the customer's file before you ask them several times? Also this is minor but the vent in the bathroom does not work. The lady said it works on a timer but it did not turn on at all.

The buffet breakfast which was included was very good as was the attentive service by the dining room staff. Will definitely stay there again!

We had a small dog with us and the pet friendly fee, $10, was the best of any hotel we have stayed in. The complimentary breakfast was great. Lots of variety. Large restaurant with lots of seating room. Gal that looked after the breakfast area was friendly and very efficient. Highly recommend this hotel.
S	SpeashuL K on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked my reservation directly with their website as the prices were the same as the third party sites. I booked a month in advance, they sent reminder emails. Check in was flawless. I received room keys and breakfast vouchers. -The room has nice wood floors. -The A/C unit is functional and quieter then the TV for once! -The entire room is very clean. -The bed is extremely comfortable, I am 'stuck' in mine surrounded by pillows and a perfectly weighted duvet for this weather. On my first night I got food down at the lounge. Vince was working the bar alone with a 12 top and a few other tables. What a champ! Gave my take out order full attention too. Woke up at 9 am and headed downstairs for breakfast. The buffet has everything you need for a full plate and a full belly. I'm slow and got there at 9:20, people were still coming and they were still serving buffet when I left. I asked the front desk a question where I could buy something I needed and they pointed me in the right direction, lucky for me it was right next door. The hotel is set up for conventions and weddings. It is very close to the hospital and airport. Restaurants. There is also AVIS car rental. That is all listed on the website as well. I Guess what I am trying to say is you can be rest assured knowing The Royal has everything you need for a clean, safe, and comfortable stay. This will be my family's Calgary hotel now.
