Crystal Decor Wedding Decor Services - Calgary

Very unprofessional and very slow to respond to any inquiries and honestly I wouldn’t have posted a google review cause I personally messaged him about how unhappy I was with his services and he didn’t seem to care much. We hired him to do our small wedding during covid which was unfortunately cancelled at the last minute due to government restrictions he promised to keep our deposit for 3 years and when I recently contacted him about our forthcoming event he gave a really high quote for a small event whereas he was willing to do a 2 day wedding for a lot less. He also made us dig up a invoice which I am sure was never sent and like the other person said in his review I am sure he just gave us his word. After a lot of back n forth he agreed to do our event but provided a ridiculously high quote. I will not be doing business with him again and definitely wont be recommending crystal decor to anyone.

Very unprofessional and unreliable conduct. Rafi over promised and under delivered on most things. He told us just the day before our events started that he could no longer give us the tent as agreed as it was double booked. He was consistently late for most decorations and did not keep us updated or provide adequate explanation or reasons for his tardiness. We had a sleepless night before the wedding as we were supervising his set up at 2am for an event starting at 9am. This was promised to be setup by previous evening, but he didn’t show up till late night. He was also unable to provide us with the decor we had picked as some things ‘broke’ or ‘went missing’. We believe he had double booked for the entire engagement and subsequently did not have availability of the items chosen by us. Rafi also jacked up the price for tent very close to event and per week price suddenly became per day price. It was such a struggle to get anything in writing from him and the invoices he provided was riddled with errors and omissions. His decorations are not bad but overall, would not recommend Crystal Decor if you do not have the extra time to chase down and manage the set up and take down process. Only commitment you get from him is ‘his word’ and that literally means nothing. Choosing Crystal Decor made the wedding an extra stressful time for us as we were constantly worried about correct decor being put up and taken down on time. We were also not sure what we would be getting as the end product which caused unnecessary stress and panic. I just gave up and stopped chasing him for my final receipt as he reneged on his commitment too many times to keep count. I have usually never felt compelled to write a review but this conduct drove me past the tipping point to say something.

CRYSTAL Decor worked with us to create beautiful floral arrangements for our outdoor garden wedding. The owner worked with us to accommodate all our requests, and was very pleasant and easy to work with. He created a beautiful arch that ended up being the center focus of the wedding. Even strangers who passed by stopped to ask about the beautiful arch and arrangements, and our guests lined up to take pictures with it. The reception arrangements were also stunning (we received lots of compliments). The entire experience was smooth and easy. Thank You RAFI for helping to make our special day look beautiful and special.
