★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 18 March 6.45pm, i was browsing a bag charm and a lady (of color) with curly hair, i think she is the manager because bold attitude, was profiling me harshly "are you buying that, let me see what you holding" i said "yes i'm buying this but i'm still browsing" , " then she was rudely "that's not for sale" and literally grab the item and walk away. I'm so baffled and speechless

Staff is friendly and helpful.
Great deals at this location as Roots seems to send a fair amount of their warehouse sale stock to this location...
The clearance section is amazing.
In general a great selection of roots products can be found at this location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely rude manager. Was browsing for a jacket with my friend and the manager who is a women of colour told us are you sure you want to purchase this jacket, it is quite expensive? I was soo shocked I immediately put the product back and left the store. I will never shop at roots ever again. Will make sure no one shops here.

You can really tell she cares about her customers, she was just so genuine. PS I also think she should get a promotion/raise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here in Jan 2022 to buy a jacket. I was looking at a jacket and the manager took it from my hands, and asked me multiple times if I wanted to buy it (because of the price point). I found this very off-putting, and she spoke in a condescending manner. It was a horrible experience to feel judged, and made to feel that I couldn't afford to shop there. Based on the previous comments, it seems that others have issues with the manager too. She is degrading and condescending. I will certainly be contacting Roots Canada HQ about her behaviour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this store!! Our favorite store to shop. We never leave Yorkdale shopping centre without dropping by the Roots store. The Manager, Megan, is one of a kind! Her staff are great! Thank you for making our shopping experience a fun and satisfactory one.
I have recommended this store to all my friends and family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got something for Christmas for my nephew at this location and needed to exchange sizes but didn’t realize the return policy was 30 days and I lost my receipt. I was recently helped by Megan and she was able to provide me an exchange for the right size nonetheless and made the experience a pleasant one for me. Its safe to say I will be returning to this location for all my Roots purchases!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A family member and I went into Roots on February 17th, and we were heckled by a customer who was unable to mind her own business for some strange reason.. She came up to us (as we were social distancing) to bully us and make rude, disrespectful remarks towards us, for not having a face covering. We have NEVER been harassed at the mall like this before, and it honestly ruined our shopping experience. That is, until a lady employee named Donna approached us and apologized on her behalf. My family member that was with me was visiting from the states, and he loves the brand Roots. We were about to forget about our purchase and leave the store from how discouraged we felt after being harassed. Donna COMPLETELY switched up our mood, apologized repeatedly, and assured us that this is not a true representation of Canada and Canadians as a whole. She was able to help us with our shopping experience and we proceeded to make our purchase. As a Canadian myself, I was impressed with her customer service skills, and it was a true reflection of how Canadians are. Roots, being a Canadian brand, should know that they have an excellent Canadian representative working for them and representing their brand in the best way possible! Thank you Donna, you changed our experience and we will DEFINITELY be coming back! :) Highly recommend this location 11/10
