I attended the laser aesthetics course, it was an excellent course. The teacher (Andrea) is extremely knowledgeable & makes the course interesting. There was a lot of hands on training with a variety of different skin conditions to observe & treat using a wide selection of different lasers. We had the opportunity to learn skincare regimes that compliment the laser treatments with fabulous products. I left there with confidence knowing which laser to use for different treatments, looking forward to a new career in laser aesthetics.

Disappointed on the last visit. Addressed some concerns I had and was told by the Dr. that “he doesn’t care and it not his problem” Initially, I had the utmost respect for this guy but now, that’s gone in the wind. I will be looking to get a new referral to another dermatologist. Full Stop.

I tried Rao Dermatology for the first time for Botox and Filler and all I can say is wow! Mrs. Rao really knows what she is doing and did a fantastic job. I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much Mrs. Rao!!

I recently had Halo laser done on my face & CO2 around my eyes and Carol W. at ActivMD Derm Spa at Dr.Raos office has been amazing!! Not only was she extremely knowledgeable and experienced in her field, but she truly took the time to listen to all my concerns, answer all my questions (I had a million of them haha) and she only recommended what I needed to achieve the results I was looking for. After the initial consult with Carol I knew I was in the right hands and I immeidately felt comfortable & confident with any of her recommendations including both laser & skin care products. After the laser treatments Carol has reached out several times to see how I am doing with the healing process. Aside from being kind, thoughtful and supportive, it shows Carol truly cares about each and every one of her clients!! So far I am really happy with my results and I can't wait to continue trying her other recommendations!! My mom and friends are also excited for their consult with Carol, I want my mom to try the CO2 too! Alma Hadzic

I have dealt with Dr. Rao for a number of years and recently had upper lid blepharsoplasty surgery. I could not have been happier with the results and also with the post surgery care that I received from his clinic. Dr. Rao is highly skilled with this type of surgery and he genuinely cares about this patients. Thanks you, Dr. Rao!

Dr. Rao and his staff are amazing. That is not the reason for only 3 stars. The reason is the exclusive pharmacy they use. (See my, and others review of Holistcare Pharmacy on 109 street) This pharmacy is on the main floor of the same building as Dr. Rao. They are the only ones who carry the prescription that Dr. Rao gave me. (I've called a ton of other pharmacists) I need to get the prescription and take it back to Dr. Rao for a procedure. I called the pharmacy today to get the cost of this drug and to see if it is covered under my plan. (Apparently, it's upwards of $200+ so I really need to know.) The man was the rudest I've ever encountered. Refused to tell me the price. Refused to check to see if it was covered. Then told me he doesn't have the product and that he doesn't know when he will. I tried to ask a few more questions and told him I was a patient of Dr. Rao. That I need the information to know if I will move forward with a procedure. Then he started to YELL at me! Said it's not his problem. He doesn't care about my insurance and that he has no time to talk to me and HUNG UP! What the.....!? Is this man/pharmacy even a certified pharmacist? He had no desire whatsoever to help me. That is not the way a pharmacy behaves. Needless to say, there is no way I will be doing business here and unless I can get this prescription from someone else, I will not be proceeding and will be canceling my procedures with Dr. Rao. I will also share this with my family doctor who referred me to Rao Dermatology. (She knows him quite well professionally) Dr. Rao needs to read the other reviews on this place and should not be doing business with him. The prescription should be readily available to my regular pharmacist, but it's not. This does not look good for Rao Dermatology to be associated with such a terrible business. Why is it that no big-name pharmacists can get these drugs/prescriptions? Anyhow, avoid giving your business to Holisticare Pharmacy on 109 street. If you just need to see the staff and Dr. Rao, they are amazing. Hopefully, they will be able to rectify this for me.

I took the laser training course from Rao Dermatology and I give the course and its instructor Andrea five stars. The course was very comprehensive and easy to understand. I especially liked how the course was condensed to include many different laser components. Andrea is a very attentive and experienced educator. At the end of the course I felt sufficiently prepared to enter the laser aesthetics field.

Hello Dr Rao, unfortunately I will be going elsewhere for services. You should know that I was left waiting two hours in your waiting room for my last appointment as the reception desk overlooked me and made no apology for the inconvenience. Secondly I avoided all appointments to clinics etc.during the pandemic. Now, your assistant tells me you insist I obtain a new referral for something you have been monitoring because it has been 2 years?? Yes, it has been two years because of a pandemic!!! Not only is that another inconvenience but jeopardizing my care by wasting even more of my time trying to see a GP to obtain a referral for a doctor I already see. Sorry, but if I ran my business this way I wouldn't have any customers. Respectfully, I am moving on!
