I recently brought my truck to Rand for an BC vehicle inspection. It quickly turned into a major repair job. Throughout the entire process I was extremely satisfied with the performance of the entire staff of Rand Automotive. I was kept in the loop on every issue by my excellent service advisor, Sheri. The work was very well done at what I felt a reasonable cost. I fully intend to return to Rand for any ongoing maintenance and would not hesitate to recommend the company to anyone requiring automotive services.

Rand is a force for good in the world as the staff deal honestly, efficiently, competently, and kindly with their customers. The sense of relief I felt and observed in fellow customers as our anxious fears of expensive breakdowns and major inconvenience were allayed was palpable.

I have a rare bmw #12 of 15 produced by BMW Germany in 2001 Its a 330ci Individual. For the last 3-5 years I have been taking it to various shops and BMW specialists, none could get the problem resolved with engine light coming on periodically and then constantly. I took the car to Rand Automotive through a recommendation. I asked Sheri a team leader to have a mechanic who knows BMW's. She got me onto Conal, the specialist mechanic. I left my car with them and in 2 days they had the problem resolved. Car now runs like the day I bought it. Carlos also a team leader was very good. I will absolutely be dealing with them again including getting all my cars serviced there. They even washed and vaccumed the car when I picked it up. It's a part of their everyday service. I highly recommend them with a 5 star ? review.

Took my pride and joy to Rand for a clutch, rear main seal, shocks, came back cleaner and running twice as good. The bill was below original estimate, so yeah I’m very happy. Thank you to Carlo and crew.

I and beyond disappointed and feel ripped off. We took my partner’s BMW in for them to fix after I had accidentally left the trunk open during a rainstorm. The computer system shorted out and would not work and they diagnosed it as a problem with the fuses. 2 trips later, $345 each time for diagnostics the first two times, the problem was still not solved. The third time they wanted to charge us another $345 and I protested saying that the third time was still to diagnose the same problem they still hadn’t fixed. They then decided to change out the alternator, this was over $800, thankfully this was covered under the extended warranty that we had purchased, we still had to pay a portion of this bill. They then said we needed to put a vent on the battery. So a $15 piece cost us over $150 after adding labor. After this, as I was driving out to Sooke with my daughter in the car, I pulled the car over because there was a strong burning smell and shortly after that the computer system went again! We called Rand and they quoted another $1800 to fix the problem!!! We gave up for a couple of months because we couldn’t afford to take it in again. I finally took it to a private mechanic yesterday, months after Rand were unsuccessful, and within a few hours he was able to diagnose a problem; it’s with a module that is located underneath the spare tire in the trunk. He gave us the number for the part through Amazon, $166.00.. this way we can order it on our own and have it installed for half the price of one β€œdiagnostic” appointment from Rand!!! As my new mechanic says, it’s no wonder no one trusts mechanics!! I’m just relieved this burnt plastic didn’t cause a fire. Update: the part we received through Amazon has solved the computer system problem completely. My private mechanic connected the new power module without any issues whatsoever. Part, plus taxes($180) plus labor($50) to install, $230 total. The computer system is back on and we’ve had no more blown fuse issues nor did we have to have the entire system disassembled, as was quoted and suggested by Rand for an additional $1800.

I took my 2016 Audi A3 to Rand Automotive today for an oil change and maintenance inspection . This was my first visit to Rand automotive . I was very pleasantly pleased with the service right from the initial phone call when I booked the appointment with the kind, courteous gentleman booking my appointment, to the drop off of my vehicle, and the excellent customer service upon picking up my vehicle at the precise time agreed upon. These gentleman were all extremely professional, and kind and personable. They did exactly as I asked and with a reasonable fee with a detailed invoice. To top it off, they vacuumed and cleaned my car too ! Top notch service, and I will be definitely booking my husbands car for his next service and I will be back. Highly recommend this business to anyone looking for excellent, reliable customer service.
