We're a Canadian chocolatier with a rich history.
Our founder, Richard Carmon Purdy, started selling homemade chocolates in downtown Vancouver, Canada in 1907. After 100+ years of crafting fine chocolates, you get to know a thing or two about doing it right.
At Purdys, everyone - from our chocolatiers to our in-shop chocolate connoisseurs - is always inspired to take you away from the ordinary. We source premium-quality ingredients from around the world, and choose local options whenever possible. We never compromise on quality, and you bet you can taste it.
Our chocolates are made with sustainable cocoa. We pay a premium for sustainable cocoa to ensure our farmer partners and co-ops are supported by programs that improve their profit and the livelihoods of their families. It's really quite simple, it's a choice we've made because it's the right choice to make.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ice cream and chocolate treats are delicious and very creamy unique taste. At times the employees may get mistaken for rude but it is a very busy place and all theyre looking to get at is a fair service to each person. Me and my whole family would eat desert there after every meal if we could, its great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chocolateer knew so much about the products!!! Wish they didn't run out of the marshmellow bars so frequently. That is my favourite. Almost no lactose/gluten free options though. Seasonally, usually only the same 4 bars that are safe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I noticed that the owner doesn't really reply to complaints, I hope mine won't be ignored. I fully understand it's a difficult time for everyone because of covid yet I am not aware of every stores capacity it's not my job to know them if there isn't a sign indicating it. There were three customers ahead of me and as soon as I walked in the store around 6-7 pm Wednesday the 15the December a skinny Caucasian lady/girl just yelled at me and my mother to get out of the store since the capacity was full but she didn't tell us in a nice manner she screamed across the room "get out I'm at full capacity and overflowed with work can't you see, get out right now" she screamed at us and gave us so much attitude instead of nicely telling to please wait outside since the store capacity has reached. She didn't even greet us just straight up yelled at us and at my elderly mother as well. Very disappointed, my mother is 90 and doesn't deserve to get yelled at like that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Purdys is my all time favorite for over forty years. I was happy to be able to purchase a fifty piece box but,,,, will be looking forward to a larger selection in the near future. Thank you purdys chocolate company. You make my life a whole lot sweeter?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Happy to say that this Purdys never fails to impress, may it be the chocolate itself or the amazing customer service. However, I was rather disappointed to find out that the employees are not permitted to receive tips from customers even after I insisted a little extra for the exemplary service I received. It is obvious that Purdy employees work very hard and never fail to have a smile on their face even though I couldn't see it, definitely felt the friendly energy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shoutout to Jad for amazing customer service! I was about to order Heavenly Hash ice cream and he double checked in the marshmallows would be an issue (they sure were!). He also took care of quite a few customers as smooth and quick as can be. Give him a raise!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, twice they have refused to serve us, first time at 10 mins prior to closing and today 15 mins prior to closing. The rep behind the counter said, Sorry we are closed, when I mentioned the closing hours for the mall and their store is in 15 mins, they mentioned they still need to pack and put things away. I was under the impression that stores are to provide their services until the closing hours?
I understand the staff may be instructed to be ready to leave at yhe closing time or not being paid after the closing time.
