Pine House Bread & Cake Shop

I bought assorted cake slices through uber eats. It was suppose to be 8 different cake slices, I was so upset, t looked different but 8 of them tasted same!! It was so disappointing!! Worst cakes ever!!

This cake place is the only one in the city that I know of that can make you a black forest cake with no gelatin or alcohol added. Thanks Pine house

Got a Pine House gift card and went to the store on Kingsway. Turns out the card was issued by the store on Victoria Dr. and can only be used at 20% discount, i.e. $8 instead of $10. I was told by the sales lady that other Pine House stores might not accept it al all. Nowhere on the card was this mentioned and it felt like a rip off. First time came to Pine House and the pastries are just so so.

Lots of options and card payment accepted. Downside is, pastries, cookies and cakes taste too sweet for Chinese desserts and bakery.

Where is the 0 star option? Accidentally ordered on Uber Eats and cancelled within 30 seconds after seeing other reviews about moldy cakes. My fault I guess but still choked that I'm out $70 because apparently they started making the food within 30 seconds.

I bought couple of different bakery, almost all of them are good. However, the Swiss Roll had already molds. Very upset. Since this is chocolate roll in brown color, very easy to spot the molds. Otherwise, we would eat this full of molds cake.???

Many reviews have been about the SAME bad staff member. I've been a regular customer at this Kingsway location, for the past 7 years. There has always been only one particular staff here, who is very rude while everyone else is friendly. Every staff there knows me as very friendly, I'm always smiling. But today, it was the last straw, whwn I witnessed that mean lady staff bullying her own co-worker! There were customers there! In front of customers, the mean worker was lecturing her coworkers, calling her dumb! So, not only is this mean staff super rude to customers, I now see she treats her coworkers the same way too. I would really like to ask the boss why he still hires her? And I KNOW they all know who I am talking about. There's only one mean & rude staff. She is rude to customers, rude to everyone, loud, mean. Why keep her? I saw her take out her meaness on other innocent customers too. There was a lady infront of me, who had purchased about a dozen buns. The mean staff asked rudely if the customer wants her buns in a box or separate bags. The nice lady in front said "Don't matter, whichever is easier for you". So she had left it up to the mean staff on how to pack her items. The mean lady then proceeded to be spiteful! She took a large bag, not the normal ones they'd use, but a large one where they usually only use it for left over or non fresh buns. The mean staff used those large bags and proceeded to DUMP all of the lady's buns inside! Literally dumped them in one big plastic bag! The customer didn't even say anything! If it were me, I would of posted pictures of that bag of flattened buns, and posted it everywhere online for people to see. Even I was embarrassed! How is that lady going to eat all those flattened buns after? So that was what did it for me. I am not going back. I'd rather drive further down to Victoria Dr.

Came in to get some cake slices for my friend's birthday. asked for 3 mango cake slices and the lady who rung me up tried to up sell me one more slice for +$1 so i said okay. After I paid, I asked if they had forks (because the bday celebration was at the park and i didn't know if we had enough extra forks for cake). She took out a couple and asked how many needed. I said 6. She made a face, which gave me a bad vibe. She's told me can have two. Uhh... just bought 4 cake slices from you and you are only willing to give me 2 forks? I get that you don't really provide forks because it's a bakery. But if you don't give it to customers who want them, then what's the point of having them. The cake was also like a 3/10. It had a yogurt flavor which did not go well. was expecting regular cream. Won't be back.
