★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love their mango cake. The cake is covered with fresh mango. The sponge cake is soft as heaven. Not overly sweet and not heavily covered with cream. The price is reasonable as well. I like their egg tarts as well. I think this is the one of the best bakeries in Vancouver. The reason why I took one star out is that they only take cash.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awful customer service. No greeting and the owner won’t even look up from her screen to acknowledge you. Baked goods are priced higher than other bakeries. The popular items often are not put out until after lunch time and so limited that there’s nothing left after 2pm. Not impressed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Marui's mango cake when it's in season during the summer is absolutely amazing. The sponge cake part and whipped cream aren't overly sweet and there is a good amount of fresh mango slices. Each bite tastes very light and airy. If mango cake is not in season, their alternative mango mousse with lychee tapioca cake is also highly recommended. Not overly sweet and good balance of mousse, tapioca and sponge cake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location is convenient for people living around, however that’s the only advantage. TNT is better and more fresh. The macarons are ok, if all of them are sold filled with buttercream, because macarons must be aged for few days before eating. Costco and TNT have better deals and are fresher if you take the time to get there. The place looks run down and disorganized.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got egg tarts and a pudding. The egg tart was excellent. Just the right amount of sweetness and super flaky. The milk pudding was soft, smooth, and creamy. The black tea layer of the pudding was very rich in tea flavour.
