I have been taking my Mocha bear to Vanity Furr Grooming for almost 2 years now
They do such a great job with the whole package - hair cut and bath (I believe they do the oatmeal shampoo on her), the ear cleaning/hair removal, nail trimming, sanitary shaving etc. I also opt for the Vanity Package which includes: teeth brushing, nail grinding, and the blueberry facial.
Mocha is a Maltese-Shih-tzu so her fur is quite fine and tends to get matted very easily. We try to take her every 3-4 months or so to keep that from happening. She also has trust issues and is very cautious about strangers, but she is generally pretty calm when we bring her in to Vanity Furr.
I've taken Mocha and Cocoa (whom has now passed) to Petcetera before Vanity Furr Grooming came to Downtown Dogs because for a while there was no consistent groomer , and we paid over $60 for just a basic grooming and cuts that were not that impressive at Petcetera, so I'm pretty happy to have a "go-to" groomer. The price points are very reasonable too - they even put a cute little bandana on her when she's done!!
Seeing that I am obsessed with my baby, I can be very skeptical and anal about where I take her. With that being said, I can tell that Cheryl and Jessica do this for a living because they genuinely love what they do, not because they have to. Plus Cheryl's accent is pretty awesome and personally I think Mocha enjoys listening to her while she's being groomed!

โ โ โ โ โ My old dog Ricky gets treated so well with these two lovely groomers, though she may not need a haircut, they still provide awesome side packs I.E bath and brush and nail trims! She is getting way to old to go out wandering around like she used too, but with the nail trims it helps prevent long nails on my hardwood. Shes had nothing but awesome treatment and I highly recommend this place

โ โ โ โ โ Super friendly staff, cute location and very skilled groomers. They can do just about any style, from the classic Yorkie cut, to Poodle cut to puppy cuts and even custom stuff. I love it that they use all natural products too, so our furry friends are always number one. I was happy to learn that they groom cats as well as dogs! Very fairly priced, clean inside and really a pleasure. I would recommend Vanity Furr Grooming to anyone who is looking for a reliable dog groomer in Vancouver.
