Brought my goldendoodle puppy there couple days ago. We were welcomed at the door, and offered assistance. The staff were very friendly and they all had masks on. They disinfected the counter top and debt machine after every use. My puppy and I woof the experience :)

Good spot for your pet care needs. Always well stocked and friendly helpful staff on hand. Lots of parking.

I’ve been going to this pet valu for years and I’ve always felt bad for the employees they are always under a lot of pressure and it’s very obvious the owners are just money hungry. Today I showed up for curbside pick up to see only 1 employee working. On the door 3 separate phone numbers and an option to send in an order via email. 3 phone lines and online orders for 1 employee? I’m sure she’s not making much more than minimum wage. It feels inhumane to support this pet valu as customers are treated like it’s a sweatshop. Im going to have to take my business elsewhere to feel better about what I’m supporting when I spend my money.

The staff here are so friendly and knowledgeable. They gave me honest and reliable information when I was looking to switch dog food and didn't try to sell me on the list expensive brand. Love the little treat they give as a tester!

I have been coming here for YEARS and have never gotten poor treatment, until yesterday. I ordered a bag of dog food online for curb side pick up. The store called me to notify that my order was ready, and I arrived at the store. The lady who was doing curb side pickups around 130pm brought out my order and I paid for it, started to walk away until she yelled at me that my card declined. I asked for the receipt and the $50 bag of food I ordered was now a 94$ bag of food. I let the lady know that the order was wrong and this isn’t what I purchased. She tried telling me it was, and when I brought up my e-receipt she told me i had to buy the 94$ bag of food because i touched it. I declined her demand and said I will not be leaving until I receive the right bag of food. After telling me I still had to pay, she went inside and grabbed another bag of food that wasn’t even the right one. She came out and said she couldn’t give it to me because β€œmy phone number was invalid”. I told her that they just called me so that was untrue.. I didn’t even bother letting her know about the fact she purposely grabbed the wrong brand of food, purchased it and left. I will be going to a different Pet Valu from now on. I refuse to be treated like this due to a pandemic.

This store has been our go-to store for a decade. Everyone was always nice. I think maybe the ownership changed or perhaps they've just hired really bad employees lately? We called to order dog food. The lady walked down the aisle to check if they had it in stock, and said yes they do have it. But they said it would take them hours to get it together for us (lol how is that even possible when she literally had it in her hand a moment ago). We were parked outside of the store and there were zero other customers there. One of the employees was outside chatting with a friend; perhaps on a break, but nevertheless it's not like they were busy. We later get a phone call that our order is ready. We drive back to the store and call to tell them we're there to pick it up. Nobody answers the phone. We then see an employee leave the store and we call back. Still no answer; another employee pokes their head out the door and goes back inside. We call again; no answer. It's clear that they're dodging phone calls. I leave them a message... they still haven't called me back and more than a day has passed. Not sure what's going on in there but they clearly don't care about helping customers. On the plus side, we have since called the other Pet Valu on Essa and the gentleman there was great! Polite on the phone and while walking the aisle to see if they had the food in stock, he picked it up off the shelf and said it's ready for whenever we get there. It'll be worth the short drive to bring them our business from now on. Good employees make a difference!

Me and my husband are loyal customers for PetValu for years, most locations we had great experiences, but this location is something else that it’s not even funny. My husband usually go to this location because it’s close to the house, we have 2 large and a small dog so we go through Performatrin 26lbs every 2-3weeks. EVERY SINGLE TIME, he is running into a problem with his tax exemption which never really seem to be a problem to the other locations, as if the owner/manager don’t want to learn how to do it or just don’t want to do it. If it was once or twice or once in a while, as a customer I understand, but every single time? Then the owner or the manager are clearly doing something wrong. On top of that, the owner/manager always give dirty look when he brings up his tax exemption, which doesn’t make anyone feel good, smh. Please don’t respond me with your apology and leave a toll free customer service number because we had reached our limit, we gladly took our business to other locations, it is a little extra drive but always treated as valued, welcomed customer and they offer efficient service. We will not come back to this location, period.

Have been going to the south store for years always found good treats and great service however I did try to return a bag of dog food and switch it out for cat food I did not want any difference in money as I have not been working I did not have extra funds for the cat food for a couple of more weeks and in error my son bought dog food at the end of November however I was told you only have 1 month to return. I did explain that I was short on cash however she stood fast as it had been 6 weeks. Although I understand I have been a good client always spending hundreds on treats, toys etc I did go to Ren's pets and explained my situation they gladly exchanged the food even though it was not even purchased there. To bad, as I will never return to Pet Valu as I can purchase everything I need at Ren's Pets store. They ask that you support local but its a two way street.
