Paramount Animal Hospital

Dr Raza at Paramount Animal Hospital is very thorough and great with my dogs! Had my Chihuahua there for dental work and a spay and it went fantastic, my dog healed up in no time! The pricing is very reasonable! The office is clean and new. 10/10 highly recommend !

I personally didn't have a pet go here but my best friends had their fur baby (dog) get an incredibly severe infection from a dog bite. They were incredibly quick and took her in when no other vet would be able to until days later. Had they not there is a chance that we wouldn't currently be driving her home on the way to recovery. Had to do 2 vet visits, each time she needed to have a surgery to drain the infection and clean the infected flesh. They were passionate about what they were doing and did everything in their power to help even when it was looking like she may not make it. She had a 15 percent chance of making it out alive and she made it with flying colours thanks to these amazing people! I'm so incredibly thankful for the fact that I get to see smiles from my friends as we drive home instead of the potential tears it could have been. I could not recommend coming here enough and if I ever need to I myself will bring my fur babies here. Thank you so much for saving this fur baby's life!

Sept.2021- I haven't had the pleasure of meeting the veterinarian yet, but the receptionist was super friendly and helpful. For that reason, I transferred my puppy's records there. I just moved to Stoney Creek from Toronto and was desperately looking for specific puppy food. The receptionist told me not to worry. They don't carry the food that I was looking for, but she would place an order online for me. And before you know it, the order was ready for pick up the next day. Rocky( puppy) and I were pleased. Edit: 17.11.2021 I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Raza today and his lovely assistant Natalie. They were both very patient with my fur baby. Dr. Raza answered all of my questions and concerns. I definitely recommend Paramount Animal Clinic.

I’ll start by saying that I have a regular vet that I’ve used for 20+yrs. They are a good vet but are known for being very expensive, so expensive that I could not afford what my dogs needed and that is what brought me to Paramount. I looked into many vets, read many reviews and I chose Paramount because of location and I liked what I read in some of the reviews. It seemed all vets had good and bad reviews but Paramount was easier for me to get to and more affordable, so that’s why I chose them in the end, and I’m glad I did. The clinic was clean and well organized and the staff was polite and kind. I have two dogs, a 3yr old male that needed shots, blood work, and to be neutered, and a 5 1/2 month old female puppy who also needed shots and to be spayed. We brought them first for the shots and bloodwork. There was no wait, they were ready for us when we arrived and took the time to explain everything and answer any questions we had. The doctor was kind and handled my dogs well, neither dog wanted any part of the procedure but with his kind and gentle demeanour he got the exam done and gave them their shots quickly. On Friday morning we brought them back for the spay and neuter surgeries and they were very accommodating since my older dog has separation anxiety. They laid out a blanket in a larger enclosure allowing us to put the two dogs together which helped keep him calm. The surgeries went well and we were able to pick them up at the scheduled time. We were given all the information on post surgery care, cones for each dog and some pain/anti inflammatory meds for both. I would definitely go back there again and I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a decent, affordable vet.

I took my 14 year old black lab to this vet 4 times. 1st time, we had her nails trimmed and she bled everywhere. Second time, she had a pus pocket drained and she was wining in agony while the vet squirted her pus all over us and the floor. The third time my dog had a ear infection and all I wanted was some medication. He brought my dog inside, performed a “ear cleaning” which I did not approve of. In literally 2 minutes he came out and charged me almost 400.00 for medication and a “ear cleaning” The vet did not once mention my dogs deteriorating health. We took her to another vet to get another perspective, and we had to put her down the same day because she was suffering so much. This guy has absolutely no passion for animals. All he wants is money. I highly recommend NOt going here.

We’ve lived in three cities since moving to ON and have had a vet in each. This is by far the best vet we have been too and will continue to go. They are honest, great medical advice and fair pricing. My dog is my world and I would never recommend a vet to anyone without feeling great about it myself. 10/10 would recommend.

I am beyond thrilled with the care, service and pricing of this vet. I can hardly say enough good things about them. My first interaction with this clinic was they were the ONLY clinic who would see my dog in an emergency situation (bite from another dog) on short notice. We had only recently moved to Hamilton when the bite happened and didn't have a vet yet. I had called at least 7 clinics near us after the incident and not even an emergency clinic could see him. Dr Tahir Raza and his team agreed to see him right away and did the most wonderful job stitching him up.The levels of care and compassion they showed me and my dog were so high that I immediately wanted this to be his primary care provider. My husband even commented to me after we left that first visit 'I didn't know I could have such good feelings about a vet.' Dr Raza also agreed to see our friend's dog for an emergency dental extraction when she broke a tooth while at our home. The work he did on both dogs was so excellent and healed perfectly. Neither of them have scars from his work. And to cap it all off the clinic's pricing is very competitive. I would pay any amount to get my dog fixed up but their billing doesn't hurt the bank. I brought my dog in for his annual checkup in January and even though the clinic was definitely quite busy that day Dr Raza still took the time to give my dog a more thorough checkup than my previous vet had done for him. Just a brilliant clinic. You will not regret bringing your animal here.
