★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A theatre space on the 8th or 10th floor of this condominum building with a lovely patio garden. The stage space is small and intimate but it's a treat to go see a play and spend a few minutes with a drink outside in the garden during intermission.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been through 3 surgeries since I moved to PAL in 2006, and although I live alone, I had plenty of PALs to help by picking up groceries and other needs, and keeping me company. In turn, I was able to help an aging neighbour remain at PAL for the last 3 years of her life. It's a community.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ PAL Vancouver on Cardero is a great place to see some really great theatre. A beautiful space - sort of black box, but with the possibility of a Vancouver skyline too. Fantastic grand piano. And I loved the friendliness of the lobby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little studio theatre is a hidden gem in Vancouver, on the eighth floor of the Performing Arts Lodge in Coal Harbour. I see shows by Western Gold Theatre here. The lobby has a fireplace and opens onto a beautiful rooftop garden, which is very nice when you’re attending a matinee. The sight lines in the theatre are excellent and the seating is flexible, so it’s rarely the same for two productions in a row. See you there!
