English Bay Tower Rental Apartments

I loved living here. I miss the view of English bay.

As much as I love the apartment the new building manager Valentina is nonsensical and very passive aggressive. I received a call from Valentina yesterday morning about an ongoing issue with my electric bill. I called B.C hydro and they said the Hollyburn should give them a call. They suggested me to be in the call as well in case of any additional information needed from my part. So I called Valentina to request if we could both get into a call with B.C. hydro. She declined and told me that I should call the representative Vivian from head office instead. I tried to call Vivian but was put on voicemail. Later in the day, I received a call back not from Vivian, but Valentina. She wanted to talk face to face about an email she received from Vivian. At first I declined since it was unnecessary social interaction that could have been dealt with if she would forward the email to me. But she kept on insisting to talk in person so I gave in. She tried to read the email to me but I couldn’t understand a word from her so I asked if she could forward me the email instead, which she immediately declined. I said it would make the situation easier for me to understand and more transparent. I also asked if she could tell the head office to reach out to me directly since there’s no point having a middle person who’s completely ill informed and does not possess the authorization to Hollyburn’s BC hydro account. But she just kept on rejecting my requests without any reason. She also blamed me for not telling her ‘everything’. The previous manager and I were already dealing with it and I was in the middle of waiting for his response. I explained to Valentina that there’s no way I could have told her everything since I was just informed that she has taken over the case less than a week ago. She also didn’t further questioned about anything when the issue was first brought up. Our conversation got out of control when she touches me without any consent. I was frightened and told her do not touch me. Instead of apologizing she told me to calm down as if nothing had happened. I cannot express how hurtful the situation had gotten me. I wish no one ever have to experience the same.

I living there almost two years. It is really nice place and you have access to grocery, shopping stores, etc. Gil is one of the best manager building I have ever seen. He is really nice person and always helpful. I highly recommend this place. Happy new year everyone.

A great building to live in. The common areas are very clean and well looked after. Gil is an excellent building manager.

I lived here for one year and had an awesome stay. The building is super clean and has an awesome Manager Gill. He is of great help and never has no as an answer. Gill goes out of his way to help good tenants. Be good, and get good services. Thanks Gill, highly recommend it.

We went there today to rent the one bedroom. It's a nice building near the beach and we had every intention of renting it. However the building manager was the rudest person I have encountered in a long while. She kept implying that my husband and I couldn't afford the rent because we don't have jobs! Her attitude was very strange since we kept reassuring her that we earn well enough money to afford this rent but she kept on pushing and implying that we are liars to our face! She kept on repeating that she is going to call our employers and that we probably do not have jobs. To be honest I had such a negative experience that I will never set foot there again. I am not sure if it is the intention of the company to scare off new tenants or was hiring her for that position just a huge mistake on their part. I even considered calling the company to complain because we felt discriminated against and being called a liar multiple times during a 10 minute house showing is not acceptable, but I decided to simply leave my experience here to warn other new tenants going there to rent.

I stayed at this place for 15 months. Great place to live. Very safe and secure. Building has great english bay and stanley park views. Clean and well maintained.1 min walk to seawall is great for an active lifestyle. Enjoy summer sunsets from english bay beach steps away from building and winter sunsets right from the living room. Stanley park is just 3 mins walk. Bus stop, right infront of the apartment. Lots of restauranrs on the denman street. Less than 100 metres for banking, groceries, bc liquor. Pubs of all classes, steps away. Great location. Guiller Eugenio, the resident manager, is the reason why i take my time and put up this review. He is professional, punctual and friendly. He is always there to help you. Easy to approach him for any service requests and he will solve them at the earliest possible. In short he is very accomadating. When i retuen to canada, I will definitely come back to this place for 2 reasons, location and Gil.

Lived here for about 1.5 years, and it's been an awesome time! It's difficult to find a better location that this. It takes 2 mins to access to the Stanley Park, English Bay Beaches, Tons of Restaurants (Denman), and Safeway is just a just a block away! The view is simply breathtaking and the big open windows give the building a lot of character, the summer sunsets are really one-of-a-kind. The building is very well-maintained and I see it cleaned multiple times a week (Not sure if special due to covid). I've only seen the laundry machines full twice in the entire time I've live here, and you could check the machine availability online before heading down. The majority of my parcels got delivered in front of my apartment door, sometimes it would be left downstairs, and maybe 5% of the time, I would have to go pick it up. The building manager, Gil, is amazing! He knows all of his residents by name is always super friendly. He really made my stay here an absolute pleasure. He puts a lot of effort into decorating our lobby every Halloween and Christmas, and it looks excellent every year! He also puts together a yearly summer BBQ where you can meet all the other residents. He is very responsive at all hours of the day, and has gone above & beyond every time I had any concerns or issues. I've texted him at 9am and also at 11pm, and it has never taken him more than 5 mins to respond. He is also very quick to inspect and address any issues within the next hour or two.
