★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I received invaluable help from Dr. Klemka. I really know my way around mental health resources, and have explored a wide variety. Dr. Klemka's help has really stood out to me and helped facilitate change in a meaningful and deeply routed way that empowered me between sessions and gave me tools I can use and build upon over my lifetime. He has a lot of knowledge he is able to use reflexively on the spot, drawing from an array of techniques.
I moved away from Edmonton and am still trying to find someone who could be a part of my journey in as impacting of a way as Dr. Klemka.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr Klemca was recommended to us by a trusted psychologist. At first we were delighted by his outgoing and easy personality. He was like a grandfather figure to my son. I recommended him to several friends. He promoted such a friendly relationship that my son felt comfortable calling or texting him in off hours to discuss a point. He was not told these were outside Klemca’s boundaries. There were a couple of “boundary” things we thought odd, like offering to give him driving lessons during sessions (it didn’t happen) and calling to say he would come over to our place with an hours notice one Saturday to play chess during covid (also didn’t happen). My son saw him off and on for several years. As his condition got worse and worse my husband and I emailed to ask if additional types of treatment might be helpful. Klemca never offered alternatives or additions. The final time my son was in such a bad state I called for help. When Klemca called back he became angry, made inappropriate, and given the trying circumstances, outright mean comments, including saying my son would have to tank and be taken into hospital. At the same time he “quit” and sent my son a two line closure text. I went into shock at his reaction. Fortunately this strange occurrence led to us finding Alberta Mental Health and their wealth of resources. In all I would say Klemca could be right for you if you just need to talk. If you or your family member is struggling with mental illness, go elsewhere.
