★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you need actual urgent care, save the hassle and go to the ER in Port Alberni or Nanaimo. You'll have a much better experience. Inadequate seating, poor prioritizing, poor service. Not very friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was not too busy, nurse at entry was kind, triage nurse quite short tempered and rude with all patients, not only us. Dr was overworked, escalated, and rude with terrible bedside manner. The current system pressures should not be an excuse for staff to behave like this. It is not the patients fault that their only option to recieve any care is to attend an urgent care center. It is within the power of Mr Dix and Mr Horgan to make changes. It is within the power of staff to be kind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rosemary Graham is an exceptional Nurse Practioner. She is thorough, proactive, frank, and supportive in all things. In truth, she has provided the best care for my husband and I that we have had in more than a decade. I feel confident that she has our best interest at heart. I Will never go back to a fee for service GP who will only discuss one issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was on vacation with my parents February of 2022 in Parksville. My dad cut himself badly in the kitchen. On a Sunday we found this location. Being from the lower mainland I expected to spend hours at emergency. Instead he was in and out within an hour with stitches. All of the staff treated him very well and overall we were so happy with how efficient everything was. It didn’t take away from our vacation. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife has used this place many times when we are visiting the Island and has always been attended to in a timely and courteous manner.
This is the first time I have had to use them and cannot say enough, the service was excellent. I was attended to and on my way home in less than 40 mins.
Would have no hesitation in using them again. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I moved to Parksville from the mainland in July and this was the quickest and best medical care I have received.
The staff were friendly, and efficient. I went in with a suspected broken bone in my foot. They had me in for an x-ray within 30 minutes of being there.
The Christmas decorations were a bonus. It felt like a set from a holiday movie.
I would recommend the Oceanside Health Centre to anyone in need of medical care.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an awesome place to be if you need medical assistance. Staff are professional and courteous. I believe that these types of medical aid should be in every city. It would take pressure off of the emergency departments in hospitals. I can’t thank them enough for the care I received.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m an emergency department nurse and my mother lives on the island and I live a province away. She recently had dental surgery and afterwards she developed what I recognized to be a serious infection. I urged her to go in and she did. The doctor saw her all of 3 minutes and gave a very weak oral antibiotic prescription and sent her home as they were closing soon. I’m completely appalled by this care. She needed IV antibiotics and they should have either sent her to another care centre or provided correct care! This doctor was lazy and dangerous and the nurse should have advocated for her as well. May also be lack of education which is also very concerning!
