The screeners do a really great job and they should be proud of the duties they do towards the society. Had an awesome experience and would always recomend it to all my friends.

I had a very good experience here! All the staff was super nice and kind! From the time I walked in the door to all the diagnostics took less than 1 hour total.

I chose to go to St. Josephs Urgent Care to resolve a deeply lodged wood splinter in my finger that was self inflected due to carelessness while moving furniture. I learned a lot during my visit and would highly recommend this Urgent Care Facility. I felt very lucky that Dr. (H) Brent Maxwell was the emergency physician working that afternoon. If you are wondering, the "H" stands for Hero. After completing the bureaucracy required to be seen by Dr. Maxwell, he informed me that it was well timed on my part, as every Saturday afternoon is "DIY Sutures" day. After administering the local anesthetic with a surplus soviet-era measles syringe, Dr. Maxwell provide myself and the other visitors our very own DIY suturing kit fresh from the autoclave. It had everything you could need. The tweezers were the best I have ever used. (They should sell them in the gift shop- you're welcome St. Joes CFO) We had a great time learning to stich ourselves on our "frozen" appendages, and Dr. Maxwell gave us tips and guidance until we we were at least as qualified as his Medical Students who mainly stood around on the phones and restocked the supplies. Luckily, we were all able to complete the instructional afternoon within the 90 minutes we were allowed to keep the rubber tourniquets on. 90% of us has Vasovagal syncope when the tourniquets were removed and we saw our own blood. Dr. Maxwell said that was always his favourite part, luckily they have a bar cart with Vodka and OJs exactly for this reason. Dr. Maxwell didnt drink though, he said he only drinks on vacation in quebec, because he just says "I dont speak French" and that way doesnt have to talk to anyone on vacation, so he actually gets to enjoy his cocktail. Seriously, smartest guy you will ever meet. Anyways, we thought we were done and ready to be on our way, but they took us all to the emergency Xray department because they have a daily quota and they have to keep the single xray tech on the verge of exhaustion due to his poorly reviewed contract. So we took turns xraying things for no reason. It turned out I still had some of the wood splinter in my finger, but Dr Maxwell said its normal and just gave me some antibiotics for my "organic foreign body". If anything came up, he told me to reach out to his people at Lerners Law Firm because they are really good. Overall, a great afternoon, and can't believe i was in and out of the urgent care within the $4 I put in the parking machine. Worth every dollar would do it again. Just make sure you call ahead and ask if Dr. Maxwell is in today.

My mother was seen quickly and efficiently and a serious issue ruled out. She was quite uncomfortable and had been referred by a telehealth doctor so appreciated the quick assessment. She had been worried and in pain. The efficiency and thoroughness of the staff enabled her to return home and rest knowing that a serious issue like a broken bone or blood clot wasn't a problem.

If I could give 0 I would. I have been to hospitals in tiny Bowmanville, Peterborough, Lindsey and huge hospitals in Markham and Toronto. Never have I been to such a primitive and unorganized hospital as the ER at St Joseph's. You have to line up and wait for triage, even outside if their busy, which they always are. Then after triage, your registered and sent down to an extra large waiting room !! Filled with 20 -30 of the living dead surrounding you coughing and moaning nice ! All to be told that you are expected to wait hours longer. I asked and that's all they said "hours" I was told by my Dr that morning to go straight to hospital with stage 2 hypertension and wanted a ultrasound and echocardiogram done. I asked what was going to happen 1st and they said they weren't doing either test. That I was getting an x-ray...... the only thing that would show was if my heart was enlarged not clogged or pumping wrong !! At that point I asked to be brought back out to the entrance and I was going home. The nurse actually had the nerve to give me attitude about they are the fastest in town !! Lol I then replied that I'd rather go home and call an ambulance, at least I'd be laying down for hours waiting, not propped up in a corner waiting for an unnecessary test !! Incompetent, know it all, ignorant fools. Absolutely the worst hospital experience anywhere in Ontario or B.C

urgent care team literally saved my mom’s life last minute and I owe them that forever. All my experiences there are positive but that one time yesterday when my mom fainted while we were still in the lineup all the nurses came in to help immediately and took care of her. They took IMMEDIATE action and reassured me she’s going to be okay and that she’s in safe hands with them. She really WAS in safe hands! They’re very supportive and know what they’re doing and you can easily tell they care about people’s lives unlike the rest of the hospitals in London. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for authentic nurses/doctors who genuinely care about your health and have manners and take your health issues seriously.
