We have been taking our vehicles to Braeside for about 5 years, their quotes are competitive. They came in cheaper than Canadian Tire. The care and attention is quite impressive. The detailed report from an inspection is beyond thorough with copious amounts of photos to show every detail and condition of The vehicle parts. We are happy customers!

I’ve been taking my vehicle to Braeside Automotive for several years now, after being less than impressed by the service I was getting at my Mazda dealership. They do all my scheduled maintenance and I’ve also purchased a set of winter tires from them. They have never pushed for a service that my car didn’t actually need, or made any errors when it comes to my vehicle. I always feel very taken care of. All the guys at the shop are really nice. I highly recommend Ryan (service advisor) if you have any questions. I hate the phone and he’s always quick to respond to emails and book appointments for me.

I've always recieved a fair quote, fast service and good conversation with the guys at Braeside auto. They are quick to return calls and keep you updated as your vehicle is worked on. These guys are pro.

Work was done adequately but was expensive, I was charged for them to look at my brakes, which I was not informed that this would be charged, I'm ok for paying for the labour just would have liked to be informed about it prior to the bill. I was told front and back brakes should both be replaced very soon. I got a quote for that which seemed high again, so I shopped around and received many more reasonable quotes. I took it in to another location and they informed me that my back brakes have plenty of life still left (year or 2). Disappointed that they tried to create work when it was not needed, they lost my trust and any future work. Update: I was contacted by them and they were concerned about their pricing and also not relaying the extra cost of the brake check.

Ive used Braeside Automotive a few times in the past year. In both instances, they have been very pleasant to work with. They isolate the issues, then call to explain everything thoroughly, and to give a quote before starting the work. Both times Ive used them, they have completed the work ahead of schedule, and they have came in under budget, both times significantly. They will not do work that isn't required, nor do they try to up sell services which is greatly appreciated from a mechanic. Generally I trust mechanics as much as dentists, and have had many bad dealings with them. It looks like those days are behind me though as I will be making Braeside Automotive my regular mechanic!

Brought my car in for an alignment and had a bad experience. I received a call back informing me that my wheel bearing had play and my tie rods were shot so they could not proceed with the alignment and that I would have to pay money for a diagnostic. It was interesting to me because the wheel bearings were replaced 3 weeks ago and tie rods at the beginning of the year with OEM equipment. I immediately took the vehicle home and put it on my hoist and it turns out the diagnostic was complete bogus! There was play in the steering rack which I can understand can cause issues with alignment, but it bothers me that they told me to my face that "I saw it with my own eyes wobbling at the hub" this is basic 1st year mechanical knowledge and for a professional establishment not to be able to determine a simple fault like this and then CHARGE for a service NOT REQUESTED is absolutely not how good business should be conducted. I did end up getting my money back, but I did also notice my car left in the parking lot unlocked with the rear driver side door not shut all the way. Very disappointed with what I would hope would be a well mannered establishment.
