The staff was friendly and very helpful, the room was comfortable and good value for the money, the location was perfect and convenient. I will visit again.

SHELL VACATION CLUB AND MOUNTAINSIDE RESORT DO NOT CARE ABOUT SR. CITIZENS! Shell Vacation Club AND Mountainside Resort at Whistler do not care about senior citizens, they don't care about health issues, they don't care about people, they only care about profit. My wife and I purchased a timeshare in 2006 at Whistler through Shell Vacation Club and we have never used it ONCE, even though we paid the mortgage loan balance in full at the time of purchase. We have paid them close to $20K and now due to health issues and disability and age we can no longer travel. We asked Wyndham (they now own our timeshare since Shell went bankrupt) if they had a program that would allow us to exit the contract, and they told us it was not possible and that we have to try and sell the timeshare. They sent us to their authorized re-seller who then told us that our timeshare unit had a negative value and it was not possible to sell. We continue to get bills for maintenance fees and club fees for something we have never used and have asked for Wyndham and Shell to work with us so that we can exit the contract but they refuse. Instead we get sent from one department to the other, Wyndham says they can't do anything because it is owned by Shell. Shell says they are bankrupt so they can't do anything, we have to call Mountainside Resorts at Whistler. Mountainside says they have nothing to do with it, call Shell. THIS IS A SCAM!!!! We signed the contract and have paid the money to them for 15 years. How can a publicly traded company that is worth hundreds of millions of dollars care so little about their clients??? Haven't you already made enough money off of us? Don't you have a heart and a soul for aging owners facing health issues? Don't you have a hardship program? We never knew this was a LIFETIME contract that we signed, we were told it was an investment and we could get out by selling but now we know it has negative value and that was a lie. Do the right thing and let us out of this contract now, there is no reason that we should pay you all of these fees for the rest of our lives when we will never be able to use the unit.

We decided to stay here because it is close to the gondola. We only planned on skiing two days so every minute counts. At $350 PLUS $20/day for parking you would think that there would be some flexibility with parking. It is nowhere on any of the booking information until you check in, but having to move your vehicle by 1 PM on your departure date (when you are in town TO SKI and the mountain doesn’t close until 4 PM) is a complete bummer. The reason I was given is that they are at 100% occupancy, but I am certain their are people who are leaving before 1PM to depart and people who are checking in AFTER 4PM. The alternative is to park in lot 2 and have a longer walk to the gondola. Again, we stayed here to be close to the gondola… because the place is EXTREMELY dated and not nearly as comfortable as any of the other places we have stayed in town. You are literally paying for the location because everything else is disappointing. Huge inconvenience and not worth the money!

Rooms were spacious and clean with enough storage for winter clothes and a gas fireplace in the living and bedrooms to keep us warm. The staff was super kind and courteous! The location is unbeatable at the base of both whistler and blackcomb and steps away from all the shops in whistler village! Special shout out to the staff who made us feel extra welcome!!! Thank you for an incredible vacation!

Located very close to the lifts. Very clean rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Parking beneath hotel. No courtesy Parking for oversized vehicles, resulting in additional expense. Heated pool, jacuzzi (not always proper temp). Food store, liquor store 3 min walk. Ski shops everywhere.

I had a wonderful stay at the Mountainside Lodge! I stayed in a loft room and it was incredible. I enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and the pool ( which was the PERFECT temperature for a snowy swim!). I highly recommend this resort. The location is difficult to beat and the accommodations were exactly what I needed for a wonderful Ski Vacation. Thank you to the great staff! Will be coming back :)

Staff was always great and helpful. Location is amazing! Our room has signs of water damage all over, ceiling is cracked and split and patched and ugly. Mold in showers, worn out bathtubs. They drilled 2 holes in the outside wall to bring in a gas line in and never sealed them. You hear every word and sound outside let alone the cold air constantly coming in! Hall way carpets are stained and stinky. As a timeshare owner we each pay $1,700.00 per year per week for maintenance and there is no maintenance going on in the rooms! Great location! Great views! Great staff! Great restaurant inside hotel, but very disappointed in the condition of our room. Nice to have a mini kitchen to prepare and eat in our room. I would recommend.

Our stay was fantastic. The room was nicer than the pictures made it out to be, comfortably slept four and had a personal sauna. The room was well stocked with everything we needed and had a fantastic location. Alex at the front desk was also extremely friendly and helpful, and definitely contributed to our positive experience. We will be staying here again when we return to whistler.
