★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I shop at our neighbourhood Metro weekly - Rosedale Plaza in Hamilton
I had to shop for my sister as her and her family are in isolation - My niece has allergies to gluten and dairy so her diet is limited - my sister asked for cashew dip - I had no idea what this was.
I saw the manager working away with his staff I asked if he knew what the dip was - he looked on his phone, brought me to the area it would be - he explained they didn't have it but would look to order it in to make sure they can provide it in the future. I said thank you and went on my way.
What I didn't know was he stayed back reading all the ingredients of the gluten / dairy free dips to find one that had cashews in it. He walked up to me at the check out to show me the option - I phoned my sister and she was happy she could get it.
What he didn't know is my sister and her family are health care workers - my niece with the serve allergies is studying nursing and contracted Covid while doing her placement helping eldering neighbours in our community.
My sister is a pharmacy technician, my older niece is an RN and my brother in law an accountant for a hospital – all in isolation due to the positive case in their house.
My family is on the front lines everyday helping our community – and this Managers thoughtfulness means a great deal to me to make sure they are comfortable.

I asked where is your receiving area he asked me to leave the location Anybody knows the number of security company I want to file a complaint against him in his company really bad experience and its been Second time on same location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today September 8th, 2021 I went to buy some cold cuts, milk and eggs and only had rolls of 5 cents and 10 cents to pay with until I get paid on the 15th. They refused my legal tender. I didn't want to cash my change I went to purchase food for my kids. Disgusting supervisor. So rude and wouldn't accept the fact that I was buying food. So disappointing and I will never give a single penny to this supermarket AGAIN

The receiving guy handling the paperwork is definitely the wrong person for the job.
2 out of 3hrs waiting time was thanks to him.
Overall experience was good.
