★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Totally horrible .. homeless shelter we find out later has been closed in town and they staying there doing needles and other drugs ... Running around parking lot in middle of night. Men that own were completely rude to me and kids. Two women with a 7 and 13 year old and they called us names and didn't even. Supply Cord for TV or a garbage can

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Helped a friend move into a room for the month. The room has no door latch. The bed wasn't made. The window was open in the kitchen and the screen was ripped out. The floors were dirty. The tv was an old one with poor color and there wasn't even a cable connected from the tv box to the tv. Lucky I had one in my vehicle. The bathroom is disgusting, mildew in the corners of the shower surround and window sills. The lady at the desk was rude, told my friend to cover the hole for the door latch with plastic. I could go on and on and on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3rd rate management. My unit was wired by a monkey and was shorting out every hour so they temporarily put me two units down into a less appealing unit with a kicked in door and no deadbolt. Then they rented my unit to somone else. Been here almost a year still havent gotten the full sized fridge Kevin said he'd get.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it! Must stay! I showed up last minute and was tired. The staff was friendly and they were able to set me up with a room within minutes and I was able to get a good night's rest. If you're looking for a comfortable place to stay at a great price this is definitely a great place!

If you do needles or other drugs great place to stop. As for 2 mother's and 2 kids we were treated horribly and totally disgusted with the room and their attitudes. Kitchenette with no fridge or dishes .. TV but no cords to hook up... no air a dirty bathroom and No garbage can . When asked for these things we were called names in front our children and told we knew what getting into.... No where on website says that we be abused... And pay for empty room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheap compared to everything else in merritt especially because of all the festivals. Not gonna lie I'm a regular here. Very happy to see a pair of new young buck owners take over. Looks like they're doing renovations and really trying to change everything. Personally I love the location its actually pretty good every other hotel was charging me an extra 40 or 50 bucks 5 stars !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Now Merritt Suites. No longer The Sportsman. Under new ownership and management. I stayed here last month. The place is having a complete over haul. All old "guests" that were here previously are all gone. New people that stay or rent are friendly and quiet. The suite I stayed in was clean and had new upgrades. Kevin (Owner) is slowly going through and renovating everything. It was quiet at night and I slept well. Kevin always asked if there was anything he could do to make my stay more comfortable. I would recommend renting or staying here if you are in Merritt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thoroughly impressed!! New owners with a can-do attitude turning this place around. Had a great stay! I never reviewed the previous owner and the place before all the updates and renovations but it use to be clean but terrible. Now its either like brand new or its getting there. For the price, its def 5 stars
