Knights Inn Merritt

Excellent place to stay. Especially if it is for more then a week at a time. I travel for work 20 days a month and spend that time in different hotels all across the country. This was the first time I felt an at home feeling in a hotel. Living area was spacious. Tv was good. Shower was good. Decent size washroom. Kitchenette was practical. Having a bedroom inside a hotel room was a interesting and welcomed change. Staff was friendly and helpful. As well the price was right. Got to say a great goldilocks combination of everything. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Susie and Wayne are wonderful folks, and my stay here while working in Merritt was delightful. The rooms were always kept very clean and the housekeeping staff were kind and considerate! Wonderful outdoor area to relax, and cozy rooms to chill in. The AC saved my life a few times in the Merritt heat!

We were very comfortable staying here. Suzie and the other manager both were very helpful and always tried to serve us their best. Felt like home in an unknown city. Our kids also enjoyed staying here.

The room was clean and comfortable, kitchen comes with all basic necessities and everything worked well. The service was fantastic, staff went above and beyond to help accommodate me through scheduling issues with my work, while also providing the same service you would expect to receive at a reputable hotel.

It's cost effective, so there's that. But it's not clean at all, and they have listed prices of all the ways they're going to charge you if you misbehave... But then leave you with oil stained comforters that have cigarette burns on them (this is a smoke free hotel ?) The room smells of stale cigarettes and there were cigarette ashes on our top sheet UNDER the tucked blanket and comforter. Seeing one of the housekeepers take at least one smoke break in the middle of cleaning rooms, it's little wonder where the ash came from. When we asked front desk for a clean comforter we were told it was clean and the only other alternative was another comforter with yet more cigarette burns and was told it was too expensive to replace comforters. That's the cost of running a hotel! If you don't like that cost, then don't run a hotel. Also, if you charged a pre-authorization, that would take care of such incidentals. The walls are paper thin and if you're blessed to share a wall with someone who's going in and out of their room at all hours of the night and them slamming the doors every time, you're going to feel it, let alone hear it. The unfortunate thing is, this hotel has SO MUCH potential if they just put forth a bit more effort into how it's maintained and run. The woman working the front desk was quite nice and it seems like she's invested in people having as pleasant experience as possible... But there were just too many missteps here and the person who pays the bills here is much too miserly to run what could be a very successful hotel. I won't even bother going into the mold on the bathroom windows, the improper sealing of the tub, the broken lamp in the main bedroom, the peeling faux leather on the couch, etc, because I suspect you may not want to stay here after everything else I wrote.

Stayed here for almost 2 months while i was working in Merritt. Gorgeous courtyard with massive shade-giving willow trees & benches for sitting & socializing. Spacious clean rooms. Nice kitchen set up. Hardwood floor! Lots of light. Wayne & Suzy are very helpful, kind, chill, interesting, polite, & accommodating. Low-key in the most relaxed & welcoming way! Great motel. Nice to feel so homey when i am away from home ??

Glad to find a pet friendly place. Relatively clean and affordable. Check in person was friendly. Definitively stay here again. Concerned with the wash your own dishes sign, does that mean the staff don't wash the dishes when someone moves out even if the person staying washes.

This is my go-to place when I'm out of hours or just need sleep. Good rates. Clean rooms. Kitchens. Some rooms have 2 queen beds, one in a separate room. It's far enough off the highway that it's quiet but close enough to town for groceries/fuel/coffee isn't much effort (I walk to Save On).
