★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vet neglected to inform us our cat had kidney failure before performing a dental procedure on her. Informed us after the procedure was complete. We would not have proceeded if we had known. Cat’s health declined in months following her appointment at Market Hill before her death 2 months post.
Kicker is we had actually gone in for an ingrown claw, not a dental procedure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think it is important for clients to know how the management at Market Hill Animal Hospital treats their staff. I worked at Market Hill for 2 months in the summer of last year. Everything seemed to be going well, I had never had any complaints about my work ethic or was ever brought aside to discuss any concerns. I had walked into work for my shift one day and was immediately told by the manager (Dr. Reza’s wife) that I was no longer an employee because it was decided they were going to let me go immediately. I had never received any notice of this nor have I ever received an explanation as to why I was let go even after numerous attempts to reach anyone. This left me in an incredibly hard position financially as a young person living in Vancouver. On top of that, while I was in the search for new work, potential employers were not able to get ahold of management at Market Hill, the manager was not willing to speak with them. The lack of respect that they have for their employees is disgusting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been a dog owner for more than 20 years and have been to many veterinary clinics within this time. I would have to say that this is the best veterinary clinic I have been to. I never feel rushed and both vets are very kind and you can tell they are animal lovers. I have never been overcharged or felt like they have done unnecessary tests that break the bank. I have had reason to bring my pup here several times this year to see Dr. Mary Darabi and she has been excellent with the advice she has given and she is so good with my dog and always talks to my dog, she tells my dogs that she looks so beautiful with her eyeliner as my dog has black markings around her eyes. Dr. Reza is also very knowledgeable and gave me some great advice on food and allergies with pets. Dagmara has also been very helpful and is the backbone at this clinic and is always very helpful. I have been a client for several years now and have always had a good experience with this veterinary clinic.
