Food was good - some amount of expectation coming in; service was good. One tip, if you want to add pepper, check the size of the opening :) The dine-in wait times can be quite long - takeout is always an option !

The service was great. The shop had AC but wasn’t circulating so it was super hot inside and my bf and I were sweating. Loved the salad and gyoza. Zanbu ramen is somewat salty but it gets better when I add vinegar inside. Also loved the free rice refill ?

First time trying KOKORO I witnessed it’s popularity in downtown in 2019, and now it finally come to UBC. The space in UBC was relatively small and it could get crowded during lunch hours. We were seated without lining up at around 12. ?Tokyo Spicy Mazesoba- I added extra bamboo shoots as I would for normal noodle soup ramen. However, this is an unnecessary add on?The sauce it comes with is already very flavourful. I like chives and seaweed flakes which spice up the taste! The noodles are tender and thicker than regular ramen. Not as thick as udon though. It could get a bit greasy and salty when the plate was nearly finished. You can ask for a bowl of free rice to finish the ? entire bowl. (I did, and I was stuffed) -they also have instruction to recommend you add vinegar. I tried, vinegar worked perfectly to get rid of the greasy feeling. BUT it doesn’t taste that good? ?Matcha Latte- There is some matcha power residue. Not a must try item but very refreshing. 7/10

Pro tips: - Ask for rice at the end to finish up the remaining sauce in your bowl. It’s free! - It’s confusingly situated, you need to go up the stairs & through the door on the right (which takes you outside) and walk to the restaurant at the end of the path. - They don’t take Amex Interestingly not primarily a ramen shop, despite Google’s categorization. They specialize in mazesoba (their own special soba noodle). I thought it had cool presentation but I didn’t love the taste. It kind of had a salty, raw egg creamy, generally savoury taste. Not my thing, but I can see why people would be into it :)

I love dried noodles, so was super excited to try this restaurant. I ordered the Niku Mazesoba and Tokyo Iced Milk Tea. The noodles were so delicious!! The sauce for the noodles was slightly on the salty side, but I added some vinegar to dilute the salt. The milk tea tasted great as well. This is now one of my favourite places to eat at UBC, although they can definitely get busy during meal hours.

The Mazezoba was amazing! I would definitely recommend adding vinegar since it adds a ton of flavor. We also had the Ninja gyoza which were just perfect. The ice cream was just okay to be honest but in general the food was just delicious.

Best place for food on campus. Pork rice bowl, Tokyo milk tea and blue lemonade were great. And I love how well everything is packaged.

This place is in a really weird corner of the building. The AC was on but it was still so freaking hot. Enjoyed the meal though, it was a nice new taste. Their green salad is delicious! Would love to try some other dishes next time I come with my girlfriend. If you really like ramen I would recommend giving this place a shot.
