When you don't know what is wrong with your pet and it's a long weekend there are so few places available that are open or even accepting patients. Having a 24 hour vet clinic around relieves any stress or worry. They were so wonderful in taking my little Hugo, he loved the staff and they were great at explaining what was happening. They followed up via email and phone call to make sure Hugo was fine with the medication or if I had any questions, we had a follow up appointment as well after his surgery and they again followed up. I highly recommend the team, I didn't feel pressured to do anything or purchase extra items and they were very attentive. Thank you King Hopkins!

We called King Hopkins and they got the information from us and were able to book her in that night. We waited at home for 2 hours then took her. We showed up for the appointment, they took her in right away and were able to diagnose and treat the issue while we waited in the car. We were home 1 hour later that evening with a healthy cat. Thanks Dr Black and team!
S	Sharon Bimbat on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After such an emotional day of trying to find a vet hospital that would see my puppy, thankfully I was given the number to this wonderful pet hospital and I’m so grateful for it. My 18 month old German Shepard received the best care. From my first phone call, it was such a relief to speak to someone on the other end who actually cared to hear what I had to say. Although we had to wait a few hours to come in, (which was completely understandable on a long weekend) and drive quite a distance as we’re not local to Whitby, I’d do it all over again. If anyone needs to have their pet seen for an emergency, I hope this review will help you. I’m hoping I won’t need to visit again, but if I’m ever in need of urgent care for my dog, I will definitely call them first.

King Hopkins vets were very helpful and barely charged us for our constant visits over the last week. We had him operated on earlier today for less than 10% of what the other hospital wanted and now our kitten is looking happier and healthier than ever. The staff here were all amazing and treated us with exceptional care and kindness. Will be recommending to all my friends. Thank you for everything!

I brought in my guinea pig for an emergency and Dr. Black was able to diagnose her issues quickly and accurately - something that two other vets had missed. She was very compassionate when we were discussing potential options given my pig’s poor prognosis. Upon further research I learned that Dr. Black has a post-doc in LAM and extensive experience in this field, making her extremely knowledgeable in small furry friends compared to many other vets. The staff also followed up with me after the appointment and were prompt with any further concerns I had. The prices were also very reasonable.

T	Terry Elford on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend King Hopkins Pet Hospital. Several nights ago they saved my dog Kevin's life. He had a sudden case of bloat due to a twisted stomach. I called at 9:45 not knowing what was wrong but I knew we were in a bad situation. They took Kevin in 45 minutes. They quickly did x-rays to diagnose the problem and began prepping him for surgery the moment I left. I was a mess and they were extremely compassionate. The vet called me at 3:00 am, as soon as surgery was over to update me. The next day they texted me the included photo of Kevin with an update on him so that I wouldn't worry while I was at work. When Kevin was discharged the vet actually refunded me $400 of blood work fees that didn't end up being necessary. I appreciate this honesty, as I would never had known that the blood work wasn't done and I believe that many other vets would have just kept that money as further profit. When I call with questions now that Kevin is home recovering they are always patient and ask the vet my question if the receptionist isn't sure of the answer. The surgery was expensive yes, but without it my Kevin would have died. Kung Hopkins saved his life and I'm so happy about that.
