N	Nancy Redwood on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been a Fabricland customer for a very long time. I am a die hard quilter and this is my go to store for my fabric needs. I must say thought that since the other location was closed down, I have moved to the location on Fischer Road SE. I am becoming more and more disappointed in the maintenance of this store. Quilting is an expensive hobby with the cost of fabric continuing to go up, there needs to be more attention to the fabric and how it is displayed or kept. The staff is lovely and always willing to help out but the manner in which the fabric is displayed is actually quite atrocious. I was in the store yesterday looking for some Valentines fabric and I pretty much walked 2 isles and turned around and left the store. They way the shelves looked and the way the bolts were just everywhere was quite appalling. Fabric needs to remain orderly so that it does not get dirt from the floors etc. all over it and is easy to look at.

The staff was amazingly helpful and although I didn't find exactly what I was looking for (looking for a specific colour) in their stock, they kindly pointed me in the right direction of where I could look next. Thanks!

And staff helped me pick out the color and tried to help with suggestions on how to go about doing so. They are very non judgmental and welcoming, everytime I go In they are interested in what project I'm doing.

A	Alex Field on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excited to try a new hobby I drove into Calgary on the hunt for some fleece on a quiet Monday morning. Since I hadn’t been to a fabric store in many moons, naturally I had some questions about the cost and the membership. The 30ish year old woman with the burgundy mullet pulled into a greasy ponytail was particularly intimidating and rude. Snearing at my questions and huffing under her breath when I asked to visually see what the minimum cut would be. If you can’t politely answer basic questions regarding the business you’re employed at, I can hardly understand you lasting long in a public facing role. A little bit of kindness goes a long way, not everyone buys fabric often and understands the process. Unfortunately, due to how terrible my experience was, I’ll be shopping elsewhere going forward. Perhaps some customer service training is in order.

Only 2 stars because the staff were not friendly at all - lady at the cutting table seems to hate her job and the lady at check out was rude. Will only go back because of the lack of fabric stores in the city.

Trina was pleasant and efficient and went out of her way to meet all my requests for cuts of fabric and wrap them neatly for transport. She waited patiently for me to come back from foraging for ribbon, and chatted about my projects. I will certainly look for her when I return to Fabricland. Thanks, Trina.
j	j on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the place. Most staff are knowledgeable if you have a sewing question. It's best to buy the yearly membership for $25 if you are buying alot, the deals are pretty good with the discounted price.
