Erin Ridge Medical Clinic

Went in as a walk in today, greeted at the door by the very nice receptionist. Was seen by Doctor Sam. Very polite and understanding. Would NOT hesitate to visit again.

Brilliant business - I was really looking forward to them opening. They've clearly got a great future ahead of themselves. GREAT service, excellent hospitality, and an amazing physician. Dr. Ogbeide is one of the most down-to-earth doctors I have ever interacted with. I am incredibly thankful to have been able to see this business from the beginning - they are well worth your time.

I took my 21 year old son here on Monday Aug. 30th as we were sure he had strep throat but we wanted to make sure as we're not doctors. We went to this clinic as it was a Monday evening and thought that the ER was busy and they're are not many options available for walk ins in St. Albert after 5pm. Got in quickly which was nice. Doctor saw my son briefly and told him he didn't think it was strep but took a swab anyway. 24 hours later my son called the clinic to see if they had any results only to find out the swab was sent in just a few hours before. On Weds morning my son was in great pain so we took him to the ER at the Sturgeon where the doctor there knew as soon as he opened his mouth it was strep and immediatley put him on anti biotics. He also couldn't believe no one had contacted him since Monday evening. My son FINALLY received a call from the clinic on SATURDAY AFTERNOON, 5 DAYS after going in !! I really wouldn't waste my time going here in the future.

The clinic was very clean, and it looked beautiful on the inside. The front staff were friendly and helped me book an appointment an hour after I called in to see if anything was available for the week. The doctor working was by far the best doctor I've seen in St. Albert. He took time to listen to what I was saying, really tried to understand my problems, and was very thorough in making sure he was addressing my concerns in the best way available. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone, it is definitely a hidden gem.

My family doctor is not available till Sept. 9th, so I decided to do the walk- in today at Erin Ridge Medical clinic (instead of going to Emergency you will wait for a day) The staff are lovely, the clinic is super clean, Doctor Samuel is amazing in what he does. It is a walk- in clinic so don’t expect a MAJOR TEST to be done coz he is not your family Doctor. I got what I needed and very satisfied with the quality of service today. 100% EXCELLENT!

So very impressed with this Clinic and the supporting staff - truly exceptional! Dr Rudski is phenomenal - 100 stars - I have never met such a caring, understanding and attentive individual.

Update: I called the clinic to request the physicians name and I spoke with Dr Samuel Ogbeide who told me that any emergencies are not welcome at clinics anywhere. He said I should have called 911, I asked how he would react if someone with a heart attack came in because they worked next door and were desperate for medical assistance and he stated they are not equipped” Any other physician would do whatever they could to assist, even if it was until the ambulance arrives. Why would they refuse me assistance and not call 911 if that’s protocol. He told me he didn’t have a “triage nurse” to take my vitals so he couldn’t help me. I asked why he refused my request for emergency ventilation and he stated that I would have had to wait an hour as he was with another patient…emergencies take presidency in the medical field and he had enough time to talk to his receptionist twice refusing to help me while I choked in his waiting room. He also admitted to having Salbutamol on site, therefore lied to me, then had the audacity to try and gaslight me saying he didn’t disclose what he had in his clinic. I will be filing a complaint with the CPSA. He also tried to tell me pharmacists are not able to prescribe medication when I told him I received salbutamol from the pharmacy. He told me he didn’t know my medical history so couldn’t just provide salbutamol…this clinic had my AHS number where Netcare would have records of my asthma diagnosis as well as my medication history. I’ve never spoke with such an unprofessional, misinformed and negligence “doctor” in my life. I am absolutely appalled by the experience I just had at this clinic. I work in the same strip adjoined to the clinic and began having an asthma attack at work, realizing I didn’t have my puffer (absolutely my fault, I should ensure I have it) and realizing I didn’t have much time before I fainted and that I needed to seek medical attention, I walked over to the Erin Ridge Medical Clinic. I was visibly struggling, coughing and Dr Samuel Ogbeide WOULDNT EVEN SEE ME! He told the receptionist to tell me to go drive to ER if I had chest pain….he wouldn’t even take 2 seconds to give me a prescription for an emergency puffer. I ended up having to drive myself to shoppers where the pharmacist took one look at me and had Salbutamol in my hand within 5 seconds. I understand emergency rooms are for emergencies, but there’s no way a medical clinic doesn’t have emergency ventilators and if they didn’t, they could have taken a second out of their day to give me the prescription. Honestly, thank god for the pharmacist who literally saved my life and I hope Dr Samuel Ogbeide is embarrassed by their complete lack of regard for a patient experiencing a true medical emergency. The receptionist was kind though, I hope she has a nice day.

Sorry for my English. It is not my main language. I do not review but I will this week for this place that made me happy. They said hello to me when I walked in. I am some hard of hearing so try and read faces. I could not see the girls mouth because of her mask. But I could see it in her eyes that she was smiling at me. They were very kind to me even though we had never met. They were very busy. They told me to have a nice day when my appointment had ended. They were still smiling at me. I am sorry I do not learn their names. I would like to visit here again. Thank you for being kind to me. Please tell the desk ladies that I am sorry I do not learn their names. So that they may be recognized.
