Edges Salon & Spa - Calgary

When I first started going my stylist was a recent graduate. The head stylist was very involved and made sure everything was perfect. The staff are really friendly, the salon is pretty, you are given a robe to wear so you don't get stray hairs and the selection of products they sell are amazing. They sell great brands and aren't really pushy about you buying their supplies. HIGHLY recommend this salon ?

This place is amazing. When you walk in your greeted very nicely and are immediately ask if you would like something to drink. They have you put on these soft ropes which really ties in the spa experience. I wear 1xl and it fix loosely. Went to get a salon treatment as well has a mani-pedi and had a great time. I will be differently coming back to try more of their services. I have about 3b hair and was surprised as how well they knew what they were doing and even gave me a nice style at the end. I also had a nice time chatting with the lady who did my mani-pedi. 100% would recommend it just a little bit on the pricey end but your also paying for the service. Nothing a broke student like me couldn't afford.

Fantastic spot for all your personal care needs! I love how much care they take in making sure you are happy with everything that you are getting done! They have a huge amount of experience and it doesn't break the bank! So grateful, definitely my top choice in Calgary!

I would be giving this salon a 5 star review, due to the amazing stylist Nasima. Beyond thrilled at how well she looked after my hair needs and how she listened! I have been coming to this salon over the years off and on. I’m extremely disappointed with management/owners of how $$ hungry they are. I missed an appointment in May, I got called suddenly in May to go out of the country that it completely slipped my mind about my appointment. Apparently exceptions can’t be made? The customer is supposed to pay even if they tell you the reasons, but upon reading the reviews, exceptions can be made on their end for cancellations and things like that. The best excuse when leaving the salon, is that the hair stylists are commission based and due to my no show, they were doing nothing. Management couldn’t speak with me as they had left, but I was there for a full hour for my service. Extremely disappointed and outraged that there is no value held on listening to the customer.

Heartbroken. My daughter and I were at Edges and booked a hair appt for her grade 12 grad to get some loose curls. To make this story short, I was given 3 different price quotes. I had to call the salon while she was there to confirm the cost. Her wash, dry and style was complete within 40 minutes. I met her at Starbucks within 20 min. I saw her hair and I wasn’t sure what to say because there were no curls. I was shocked. The top of her hair was flatter than when she does it herself. The pic shows what her hair looked like after we got home. I called the salon expressing my shock and shear disappointment. They suggested we come back in and they can fix it up. For those of you who have daughters of graduating age, you will understand that time is of the essence on these occasions. Edges was not in my neighborhood and thus had no time to return for a redo. The stylist even had the audacity to question our time frame because she said “your daughter told me grad starts at 5:30 pm so you have time”. (It was 2 pm when I called them, we still had to pick up her grad date, I had to get ready, time to drive and park etc…). My daughter ended up rewashing and keeping it straight as I had no time to do it myself. In speaking with one of the owners, Lina, she advised me that Nasema (sp?) is an expert wedding stylist etc...and is not exactly sure what happened. My daughter said the stylist said she will make the curls tight for now and then she can run her hands through her hair to create a natural look. That was not the case at all. If a stylist is an expert, then they should understand all hair types and how they react to curls, straightening, and so on. I just wanted our money back due to the stress for my daughter on her Grad day. During occasions like this, there is only time for one attempt and you’d think curls wouldn’t be a difficult thing to do especially by and “expert”. Lina offered a free redo for grad pics (which had already come and gone before the Grad banquet), or a make-up session with some sample products. I told her that I will let my daughter decide what she would like to do. Upon thinking about it for a couple of days my daughter approached me and said she is not interested in a redo or make-up. When I came in to get the refund I met Lina. She was pleasant like she was on the phone. However, when I got the refund the tip was not given back. I advised the girl at the front counter that my daughter paid this much for the session. The girls response was “well I’d have to go get the tip from Nasema”. I was thinking to myself then go get it, but I was already livid from all of this BS and I had to try to keep my cool before I explode on them. Disappointingly, Lina was standing right there during this time and said nothing about the tip either. So I left and Nasema has a tip that is not deserved. I am sure Nasema is a professional and does a great job but whatever happened that day, was not handles professionally, nor quickly and the entire experience was painful and heartbreaking for my daughter in the first place and then myself.

Larissa is absolutely the best! She takes my raggedy hair and makes it look stunning. I always get a magical outcome that is very reasonably priced.

I would never go back to another hair salon I always get such good service they treat me like a QUEEN. Gabbi is absolutely AMAZING I love my ashy blonde and she defiantly knows how to give me exactly what I want! I’ve been to so many different salons in the past and they never get my hair right, I would recommend Gabbi and edges to everyone!

I see Eric for my hair and he is absolutely incredible. He is very professional, friendly and goes above and beyond to give you the best service and experience. I would recommend him to literally anyone! 10/10 for the best scalp massage.
