David's Bridal

Today I came into this location hoping to find a specific size dress in stock. I was heartbroken to learn that there was none available in Canada. Luckily, Athena helped my sister and I find dresses. She is like your personal stylist! She turned my mood all around in hopes I would find something else which we did. Much thanks to Athena with your easy going, patient & charismatic personality! Great experience and would highly recommend!

I’ve been to a lot of places for dress shopping within the last 5 years. I’ve even been to David’s Bridal (other locations) on a few occasions and had great experiences so I was excited to go today to look for a bridesmaid dress for a wedding in September. The girl at the front said to walk around and she would get the associate who would be helping me to come and find me. Away went 30 minutes without anyone coming to help. Finally bumped into an associate and she said she’d be starting the appointment until the other associate could finish it off. I told her the wedding was 3 months away and I had pictures of styles I wanted to try. She told me to “forget” about the pictures and that I would only be able to look at their guaranteed in stock collection which was fine. All she did was ask for the style numbers of the ones I wanted to try. She didn’t even make any suggestions on what would look good on my body type. The last one was a wrap dress. She gave me a look over and said that wrap dresses tend not to look good on many body types. So you can imagine this being my first outing since having a baby that I already felt super uncomfortable. Anyways, I still went to try it on. She asked what my size was in JEANS and didn’t take any measurements at all. All the other times I had been to David’s Bridal the first thing they do is take your measurements. And JEANS?! How do jeans and dresses compute?? She was never there for the duration of the appointment. I had to try to zipper myself or had my friend (who was holding her infant) to help zip me up. She got annoyed that I had left the clips in the dressing room the ONE time she clipped the dress up, which she admitted to not having done a very good job of it anyways. Well if you had been there assisting, you’d have your clips? Then I had asked to try on a style we knew wouldn’t come on time. She had the audacity to tell me that she “didn’t like to be strict”. She let me try the style on anyways because she probably realized by this point that she wasn’t getting my business anyways. The other associate who was supposed to finish the appointment introduced herself to my friend, not me, and when I got out of the change room she was already off helping someone else. Even on our way out, no one asked how the appointment went or said have a nice day. Additionally, when I was scoping out dresses by myself for the eons of time I was left alone, I saw a dress that I had bought for a wedding FIVE years ago. The styles have not changed since then? And the dresses to try on look like they’ve been through the ringer, wrinkled dirty messes with strings coming out all over the place. Will never be returning!

I would like to first say that the David’s Bridal staff who assist you in finding your dream dress are amazing and so helpful and understanding. Please note this review is not directed towards this awesome team. What I have been extremely disappointed by is the alterations department. I found my dream dress at David’s. They advised I get a size up so I can alter it. Sure, they know best so I did. When I took it to be altered they started pinning everywhere. Again, I trusted them as this is what they do everyday. When I went to go pick up my dress from alterations I was so disappointed to see that my dress was nothing like I envisioned. I told them this and pointed out the specifics that I didn’t like. Their response was well that’s just how it is. I stayed trying to adjust it and they continued to ask is there anything else we can do for you? As if it were now an inconvenience that I was there. Now I have my dress and do not feel good in it at all. This is not how I envisioned it would be and now I’m stuck with a dress that doesn’t fit and back at square one to find a dress for my July wedding.

This was the first place I went to shop for a wedding dress. My associate was Tina. She was incredible. This is not at all my kind of thing. I usually shop online and always choose the safe choice fashion wise. I felt so out of place when I arrived (not at all the fault of the staff at David's Bridal just my lack of confidence). I did research before arriving already choosing a few dresses that way I could be in and out without any problems. My associate chose a few dresses for me and helped my mom and sister go through the dresses and select ones they thought would be suitable. Tina was not pushy or over the top. She was super low key. I think she could feel my anxious energy and really did everything she could to keep my calm (I was shaking the entire appointment). Every dress I put on she always knew the right thing to say and how to dress it up to make me feel like more of a bride. My mother and sister didn't need to do a thing for me while I was there. They selected the dresses and Tina was already there with shoes different veils and accessories. When I found the one we were all so excited and Tina went above and beyond to make me feel special and excited about the dress. Overall I think this was the best experience I could've asked for looking for a dress. For an experience that made me so nervous and feel so insecure I walked out feeling like a beautiful bride. Thank you so much to Tina and all the other associate there!

I went wedding dress shopping there and didn’t really like my experience. I felt pushed by the sales person to just buy a dress that was 2 sizes too small because they wanted to get rid of it (a bride ordered it and the wedding was cancelled or something). The quality of the dresses aren’t great for what the price is. You can get a much better quality for the same price from other brands. I’m giving it 4 stars because the bridesmaids dresses were amazing and when my mom went to try on dresses, Sylvia was super nice and helpful :)

Had an amazing experience and found my dream dress! Nicole was amazing and took the time to help my find dress. She had a great understanding of stock and was able to listen to what I liked and what I didn’t like to pull dresses to try on. The dress I picked was one that she had pull and was definitely not something I would have picked for myself, however I am so glad that she did! She was also not overly pushy for another sale which I appreciated, you could tell that she was genuinely interested in finding me a dress for my big day. It was also great to be apart of the tradition of ringing the bell, such a great way to make a bride feel special and appreciated! Lastly I just want to say that I really appreciated the wide range of sizes available to try on. Typically being a size 18-20 it is difficult to find sample dress to try on as not all bridal salons are body inclusive ,however at this location I did not have that issue as every dress I wanted to try on was available. Overall thank you to all the staff at David’s bridal in Woodbridge for creating such a positive experience!

I had a wonderful experience shopping for my wedding dress. Felicia and the team were so helpful with the style I wanted. They were very knowledgeable and made sure to show me how my dress will look once it was fitted to my size. I fell in love with my dress! We can't wait for our bridal party appointment and for my official fitting of my gorgeous dress. Thank you David's Bridal team for going over and beyond to make sure I find my dream dress.

Amazing experience!!! So much fun ringing the bell with my maid of honour (just like in the movies!?) The ladies who helped me were super nice and so knowledgeable?? they were so helpful that my maid of honour decided to try a dress on (she was also engaged to be married) and ended up with that dress? the seamstress was also so kind and really takes her time with you. The only thing I would advise on is the dress size I tried on a dress size four and it was perfect on me than I was advised to go with size 6 and although I had it fixed later on it stretched out on me and on day of it wasn’t as tight on me as I wanted it too. So please take that into consideration a lot of dresses stretch out (especially if you are losing weight).
