Hello my name is Oleg Buglak and my dad's name is Ihor Buhlak. Today we had a very bad experience at the YQR airport because of the renewal of my dad's ukrainian passport made by Consulate General of Ukraine in Toronto (Canada). He was supposed to fly to Ukraine with Westjet and when he tried to check in at the desk, the manager told him that he couldn't board because they couldn't accept this kind of renewal with the Consulate General of Ukraine in Toronto (Canada) stamp and handwritten date of expiry (I will attach the photo). My dad paid the full price the renewal + he has to pay 450 CAD for the cancelation of the flight + we live in Estevan and to get to YQR and back is 400km (4h, 60CAD) + he has to cancel all of the appointments in Ukraine + a lot of stress. I really hope it's going to be compensated and fixed(the passport), if not - I hope I conveyed the message. Regards. Oleg

Dont agree with the negative comments at all. Was there multiple times and always received very good service. In fact, both consuls always try to be as accommodating as possible.Professional.Respectful. One of the best consular services in Canada.

My expirience wasn't bad at all. People working there was very friendly and helpfull! The only one thing i didn't like - they don't have buzzer or ring button there, so if nobody behind the glass you have to wait patiently until some one show up. Since 2006 rules has been changed, so when i confirmed my driver expirience with them it took me a day, but now (03/2016) theh saying will call me after one month or so, cose they will send my info Ukraine.

Wow, extremely rude stuff. It’s hard to catch them during their work hours, and the attitude is horrible. I would never wanted to contact them ever again if I had other options!

Great experience, super helpful and competent staff. The most efficient service I've gotten out of all consulates. They were just great to deal with! I'm grateful to have this consulate in Toronto.

It’s been already a few times that I had to deal with the consulate, and if previous times were just bad, so after implementation of the ONLY by appointment system, it became fully terrible. First I had to book appointment month in advance, but it’s ok, maybe they are really extremely busy. So I came at exactly 10:59am for my 11am appointment and guess what? There was no Natalia, who supposed to take care of my matter all the way till 11:30. And on top of that no one apologized, gave additional information or at least anything in regards that matter, even after I mentioned the After she came, she asked some other people who was waiting before me, so I don’t really know how long was their wait time. So finally it was my turn and I came with the information regarding my appointment at 11am. I was asked regarding the matter of my appointment, like I never had to mention it during the booking. But the most exciting thing is that after booking of the appointment I was sent list of documents together with the application form that I supposed to print, fill out and bring with me. I was given different form that included all the same information and was told to fill it in. On my question why they sent me wrong form at the time of appointment, I received very strong F*off look. The whole form takes less than a minute to fill in, but after I was waiting for her to come back and actually take it. So my appointment from 11 to 11:15, started at 11:35 and finished at 11:40. My question is what is the point of such system if it doesn’t seem to work and only makes everything worse, cause now you have not just wait month for answer from Ukraine, but also approx month to make the appointment which is fully irrelevant as was shown by today’s service experience. I hope one day this place will become at least a little bit more from 21st century and won’t use USSR standards for customer service experiences. P.S. I’ve been told my matter will take approx month, let’s see, as before the passport that supposed to be that much fast I was waiting for almost 6 month.

I had a booked appointment. Had to drive 200km to Consulate… and nothing… It’s closed… Wasted time. This was my second time visiting the office without getting hold of anyone! I've called numerous times, no one answers to calls or voicemails. Emails are automated!

What a rude officer!! They don’t even care about your questions. They only give you a piece of paper and tell you to follow those steps. If you have any other questions, please read that paper again!? Ridiculous. Awful service. They literally refused to help. Above of all, they are kinda racist.
